Yeah, unfortunately, that stream goes through my backyard, but I think it was illegal to divert a stream. That's been there for over 100 years if not longer and now the existing stream has no flow and is now stagnant and only has springwater that once the spring water evaporates swamp mud is revealed that's there is gonna start smelling and releasing flies and mosquitoes. No one did their research on the endangered species that was living back there there is so much fallout that is going to happen because of this they should've fixed it under the road where the problem was not to divert it it's not gonna fix the flooding problem once we get 2 inches of rain or an inch and a half of rain it doesn't matter. It is always going to flood is not gonna manage the water. The storm drains under Mercer Street really needed fixed and it's not fixed so the problem still gonna remain there. People did not do their research. They just spent the money and I hope it comes back to be fixed in the future.

The project is intended to direct stormwater along Mercer Street to outfalls on Connoquenessing Creek, according to Chris Rearick, Jackson Township manager. https://buff.ly/7cc8lbB
