πΈ Where Little Dreamers Take Their First Steps πΈ
Every great dancer starts somewhere β and for our youngest dancers (ages 3-7), that beginning is filled with stories, music, and imagination, not pressure.
Our Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet program is a joyful, age-appropriate introduction to the world of ballet.
Through playful, storytelling-based instruction, little ones build the foundations of:
π©° Body alignment & basic technique
π΅ Musicality & rhythm
β¨ Ballet vocabulary, brought to life through imagination
π Confidence, coordination & focus
These classes are structured, never rigid β a safe, nurturing space where every child is free to explore movement at their own pace, with no pressure to perform and no competition, just curiosity and joy.
It's more than a toddler dance class β it's a gentle stepping stone toward formal ballet training, taught by educators who specialize in early childhood development.
Because the love of dance should always come before the demands of technique.

β¨ Alumna Spotlight: Cassadra Avendano β¨
As Cassadra wraps up her final semester at Skidmore College, we couldn't be prouder of the dancer β and person β she's become. Majoring in psychology with a dance minor, she's spent her college years performing in faculty and student works nearly every semester, expanding her artistry into modern and improvisation while diving into choreography and dance history.
A standout highlight: performing with Monica Bill Barnes & Company at the University at Albany β a true testament to her versatility and curiosity as a mover. π€
But through it all, ballet has remained home. Cassadra still takes class most mornings, a beautiful reminder that this art form doesn't have to be a career to be a lifelong love.
As she looks toward graduate school in clinical psychology β with hopes of becoming a psychotherapist β we love that the discipline, resilience, and self-awareness ballet instills will carry into her next chapter. And we're keeping our fingers crossed she finds her way back to the Bay Area soon!
We are so proud to call you one of our own, Cassadra. The studio will always be your home. π©°

This made our hearts so full. π€
When someone with a professional dance and choreography background leaves our spring performance feeling this, it means everything to us.
Thank you to every dancer, teacher, and family who poured their heart into this production. The Heritage Theatre stage was alive with something truly special β and it shows.
If you missed it this year, we hope to see you in the audience soon. π©°

She brings that same creativity and care to our Boundless Ballet program, giving children and young adults with special needs the joy and freedom of dance. Her teaching spans contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, jazz, and improvisation β and her belief that every body belongs in the studio is something we share deeply. We are so glad you're here, Faith.
