Shop Update: OK so after our two week, Surf bender of not getting much done around the shop this week we’ve gone into overdrive picking up tons of boards from all of our shapers that we work with along with processing an overwhelming amount of trade-ins that were racking up in the corner. This week we already uploaded at least 60 boards and we just got another 60 boards in the shop that are going onto the website ASAP. Yesterday alone we picked up boards from Pure Glass Panda Surf prescription Stamps and our Ding Repair repair guy! The day before that we got a huge shipment of JS Board in high volumes for for those larger guys still looking into rip. When you come into the shop on Friday or this weekend when we open, our inventory will have doubled from the last time you came in. on top of all that inventory we’re looking for a large shipment coming in at the end of the week full of mid-lengths and longboards…
No spot is safe in 2026…

Looks like🌪️season is trying to kick into gear at the end of this month…
An El Niño climate pattern supercharges the Pacific hurricane season, resulting in significantly higher storm counts, stronger intensities, and longer-lasting systems across both the Eastern and Central Pacific basins. This occurs as a direct result of atmospheric and oceanic shifts that “pour fuel on the fire” of the tropical Pacific.
Warmer Seas -During an El Niño, the trade winds that normally blow west across the equator weaken. This allows warm surface water to accumulate and spread eastward toward Central and North America. Hurricanes require ocean temperatures of at least 80°F (26.5°C) to form; the abundance of unusually warm water provides massive thermal energy to fuel and rapidly intensify tropical cyclones.
Reduced Wind Shear-Vertical wind shear is the change in wind speed and direction at different heights in the atmosphere. While El Niño creates strong wind shear that tears storms apart in the Atlantic, it does the exact opposite in the Eastern Pacific. It brings weaker, more favorable atmospheric winds to the Pacific basin, allowing tropical storms to build up their vertical structures and strengthen without being disrupted
Shifted Storm Tracks & Extended Lifespans- Because the warm water expands further out into the Central Pacific, hurricanes often form much farther east than usual.Longer tracks: This eastward shift gives the storms a much longer track over open, warm water, giving them more time to absorb heat and mature into catastrophic, major hurricanes.Increased regional threats: Historically, strong El Niño years—such as 1997 and 2015—have produced record-breaking systems like Hurricane Patricia (which peaked with 215 mph winds). This shift also elevates the risk of tropical threats tracking toward Hawaii, Mexico, and the Southwestern United States.

Shop Update: To be honest, the waves being so good the last two weeks we haven’t gotten much done around the shop. But a lot of product testing has been getting done! We just got back into the shop full-time starting today and we are working on getting a bunch of the new inventory uploaded onto the website this weekend… This week we uploaded a bunch of affordable used fins up on the site and more longboard fins will be uploaded this weekend.
We are planning on rounding up some boards we were supposed to pick up last week, so NEW stuff will be coming in daily!
Surf Report: We just had the most unbelievable two week run of swell and the best part is it looks to continue solid for another two weeks. Not as crazy as the first two weeks, but still plenty of fun head high waves for everyone. News has been reported that it’s going to definitely be an El Niño year so we can look forward to an overactive pacific hurricane & winter swell season. Some are saying the sw swell we just had this week was the largest south swell since hurricane Mari in sept 2017. So far our summer seems to be off to a great start and it doesn’t look to be turning off anytime soon.💯🔥📈
