☀️ Hot weather means one thing on the mats: the stakes are higher.
We love this community. So let’s keep it from smelling like we don’t.
GYM HYGIENE — NON-NEGOTIABLE IN THE HEAT:
• Shower before class. Sweat from your commute counts.
• Wash your gi after every single roll. Every. Single. Time.
• Rash guards and spats too — they don’t get a day off either.
• Trim your nails. Summer is not the season to scratch someone’s cornea.
• Feet on the mat = no shoes past the threshold. Ever. But especially now.
• If you’re sick, sit this one out. A cold in July hits different.
• Bring a clean towel. Wiping your face with your gi is not the move.
• Slap some mat spray on if you’re the first one setting up. Be a hero.
The mats don’t lie and neither does your gear bag.
Keep it clean. Keep it respectful. See you on the mats. 🔥
