This Friday, July 3rd bring your loose change and see some great dwarf car racing at The Douglas County Dirtrack! Andrew will be there with the infamous collection jar at this year's hosting venue, and the Southern Oregon Dwarf Car Association (SODCA) will be in action, giving fans in Roseburg a preview of this year's big race on August 28th! We're hoping for a big coin haul to add to the winner's payday. Currently over $1,200 but we want to get past $2,000 again! We of course will accept cash to go to the rest of the field and hopefully will get to pay another position bonus (or two!). Looking forward to a big collection night, and of course a lot of good racing this Friday in Roseburg!

The 2026 Pocket Change Race - 13th Edition - for the dwarf cars is Friday, August 28th at the Douglas County Dirt Track in Roseburg, Oregon and hosted this year by the Southern Oregon Dwarf Car Association. We are collecting coins for the winner and cash for the rest of the field in a year-round grassroots effort. All participating clubs will accept coins and cash throughout the season and will get it to Andrew Kunas for the KBucks payout. Full Throttle on the Rogue Dwarf Car Nationals weekend update.

Thursday night we finished getting the car race ready and did a few practice laps. Things felt good in the cockpit so Colby decided to put her away for the rest of the night.

Friday, Colby pulled a 98 pill putting him LAST out of an 8 car in his heat race. He drove his tail off and finished the race in 2nd. This set him up to start 4th in the main. The goal was to stay in the top 10 to lock into the Saturday night show and Colby finished 4th after falling back to around 8th.

Saturday, Colby’s pill draw luck didn’t improve and he drew a 10. Therefore, 10th was where he started in the fast dash to determine the lineup for the A main. 3 laps in Colby felt like something was amiss with the engine, therefore while running 9th he pulled off the track to have it checked out. Thanks to Mike Gergel, it was an easy fix and he was able to start the main in 10th. All 9 cars in front of him were extremely fast and we knew it was going to be an uphill battle. Colby drove hard and finished in 8th.

Despite the weather being extremely cold and late nights, early mornings with little down time in between, it was a great experience.

The July 4th race is canceled so we will se everyone on July 3rd at The Douglas County Dirtrack in Roseburg,OR

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Southern Oregon Speedway will not be racing on Saturday, July 4th.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide the fireworks show that was planned, and rather than put on an event that doesn't meet the experience our fans and racers deserve, we've made the decision to take the holiday weekend off.

We know many of you were looking forward to spending Independence Day with us, and we sincerely apologize for the change of plans. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone enjoys a safe and fun holiday weekend with family and friends.

We'll be back on Saturday, July 11th, ready for a great night of racing, and we can't wait to see everyone back at the speedway!

The 55s finally made it to the track. Tonight we need to finish getting her set up and hopefully get some practice laps in. Friday and Saturday she will be racing the Full Throttle on the Rogue Dwarf Car Nationals at Southern Oregon Speedway.
