Huge congratulations to Cheney Parks & Recreation’s ABC Preschool graduates this week!

We loved celebrating all of their hard work, big smiles, and amazing accomplishments this year. And of course, there’s no better way to celebrate graduation day than heading straight to the playground afterward for some well-earned fun!

We’re partnering with Spokane Parks Foundation supporting a swimsuit drive benefiting children and families in the Cheney community, and we need your help.

A brand-new swimsuit may seem like a small thing, but for many children it means the chance to confidently participate in swim lessons, summer activities, pool days with friends, and safe water experiences they might otherwise miss out on. For families facing financial hardship, purchasing swimsuits often falls behind more immediate necessities. Your donation can help a child feel included, confident, and ready to enjoy summer alongside their peers.

Please consider donating new swimsuits for children of all ages and sizes. Donations can be dropped off at the Cheney Conoco station.

A huge thank you to Cheney Conoco for partnering with us and serving as our collection location. We appreciate your support in helping care for kids and families in our community!

We got a sneak peek today of the incredible mural being painted on the Veteran’s Memorial Park restroom, and wow, we are so impressed!

This amazing project is being brought to life by talented Cheney High School students in partnership with Communities In Schools of Northeast Washington, Cheney Heart and Soul, Signature Touch Window Painting, Craft Cupboard, and the Spokane Parks Foundation.

It’s inspiring to see our community come together to create something meaningful, beautiful, and lasting for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to see the finished mural unveiled during Cheney May Fest on May 9 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM!
