‼️‼️We’re thrilled to congratulate three of our Riot men for earning spots on Men’s Senior Select Side for this weekend’s Thunderbird Cup tournament at the Chicago Blaze’s facility in Lemont! ✊❌🦅‼️

The two-day tournament brings together the top men’s, women’s and under-23 club rugby players from eight regional unions spanning from Western New York to the Dakotas for a weekend of elite competition. We know that these three will do our club and union proud this weekend and use their experiences to help The Riot next season!

Despite an uneven performance marred by three braindead yellow cards, The Riot put enough points on the board to get past a hard-running side on Saturday. The Pigs traveled light to the city, so quite a few Riot men pulled on their colors for the afternoon and put in some big shifts. Good luck in Wisconsin this season and we’ll see you again soon!

Our Man of the Match was Will Brady for the second week in a row for refusing to stay out of the try zone for longer than a commercial break.

We’re back at Smith this weekend for our final home game of the spring season against a stout side.

We’re kicking off a bit later than normal, but Saturday’s forecast projects a perfect afternoon for midwestern rugby.

What a day for Riot Rugby!

We’re holding onto The Garbo Cup for another year after a great game with yesterday. We want to thank Cleveland for traveling here, giving us such a competitive game and for hitting Division Street with us Saturday night. See you guys next year!

Our Men of the Match were Will Brady for the Rovers game after he ran wild all afternoon and Ben Gardner for the Fox Valley game for the on-field leadership and big hits he brought throughout that game after coming off the bench in the first match.

We’re excited to welcome back to Chicago this weekend for the third edition of The Garbo Cup. We kept the traveling trophy by the narrowest of margins last year, and we’re ready to put it back on the line on our home turf.

We’ll also welcome back into city limits for a second match at Smith Park. A social at The Continental will follow that second match.
