It’s almost that time of the month for another group ride! We will be taking on the Arlington 500 in the suburbs this upcoming Sunday morning, with multiple paces and distances from 20-100 miles offered 🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴

Friday Open Water Swim is FINALLY back! We’re hitting Ohio Street Beach tomorrow at 6am - look for our tent! Some reminders:
🏊♀️ Remember to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow enough time for putting on wetsuits
🏊♀️The tent will be up until 7am, bring a lock for your stuff if you plan on staying longer! Otherwise all personal items can be left at the tent.
59 degree water will be SUPER refreshing! Don’t miss it!
Our group swim lessons have been HOT this spring! 🏊♀️
Last week’s workout:
5 minute warmup
200-600 50 Sidekick / 50 Swim (fins and snorkel)
Main Set:
300-500 pull (PB and snorkel)
8x100 single arm swim (fins and snorkel)
6x50 swim at strong effort w/ 15s rest
150-200 Pull easy (PB and snorkel)
6x25 sprint w/ 20s rest
Easy Cooldown
We swim at FFC Gold Coast & FFC Union Station on the weekdays (AM & PM) DM for more info!

Last year she started training for her first triathlon using Grit’s 12-week training plan, and she’s been rocking it on our team ever since! Like she mentioned, training with a coach and/or following a plan is the best way to start taking Triathlon (more) seriously - whether you’re a beginner or a novice.

Zone 2 Book Crew is back for Memorial Day weekend! Our May book is “Forward” by Abby Wambach. We will run for about an hour at a slower pace for a proper debrief 📚

What a weekend! Grit Spring Camp is never one to miss!
Some Highlights:
-Multiple runs through the University of Wisconsin campus, along Lake Mendota and the Military Ridge Trail in Verona
-Structured pool swim at the Verona Natatorium
-50-80 mile hilly ride on the Ironman Wisconsin course
-Open water swim in Lake Monona
-Transition clinic, along with a T1/T2 “race the coaches” relay
-Great meals, and even better vibes!
