This year’s Murph was one of our best yet.

Nearly 200 athletes came together across 6 heats to honor Lt. Michael Murphy and the men and women who have served our country. From first-time Murph finishers to longtime veterans of the workout, the energy all morning was incredible.

We were blessed with perfect weather, an amazing breakfast from Shack, face painting and games for the kids, and a facility packed with friends, families, and community.

Every year this event continues to grow, and this year was no exception. Plenty of PRs were set, countless first Murphs were completed, and memories were made that will last far longer than sore legs and tired arms.

Thank you to everyone who came out, volunteered, cheered, and helped make this such a special day. We’re already looking forward to next year.

Murph season ends… summer training starts.

One thing we’ve learned after 17 years: people don’t stay healthy, motivated, and improving by hammering the same thing year-round.

Training should have seasons.

Our new 12-week Summer Cycle starts this week and is built to widen the funnel after a spring heavily focused on Murph prep, running, and conditioning.

For the first 8 weeks we’ll rebuild strength in our foundational lifts while still keeping all the things people love about training this time of year:
• More outdoor workouts
• Running
• Carries & sleds
• Gymnastics
• Variety

The final 4 weeks become what I’ve always called our “CrossFit.com phase.” More fun. More broad fitness. Heavy testing days return so we can establish percentages and head into our annual Fall Strength Cycle prepared.

Because fitness isn’t built in one cycle.

It’s built by stacking years of training, shifting focus when needed, staying healthy, and continuing to show up.

That’s how people are still progressing here after 5…10…15+ years.

Summer starts now.

The loudest thing we do is group classes.

The fastest growing thing we do? Personalized coaching.

What a lot of people don’t realize is nearly HALF of our coaching staff’s hours are now spent in 1-on-1 coaching, custom programming, and small group training. It’s become a massive part of what we do and nearly 30% of our overall business. Partnered and managed through at the Body Biz we customize programs through a combination of personal training, programming or both, based on your budget and goals.

Because sometimes the best path isn’t jumping into a class—it’s starting with a coach, a plan, accountability, and training built specifically around YOU.

This week we’re launching a new video series featuring the coaches behind those programs.

First up: Head Level 2 Coach talking through why individualized coaching often beats generic templates, random workouts, and constantly restarting programs that weren’t built for your goals in the first place.

Different goals require different approaches:
Want to compete? Return from injury? Get stronger? Lose weight? Build confidence before classes? There’s a path for all of it.

The biggest misconception about gyms? That everyone should train the same way.

The older we get as a gym, the more we realize success isn’t just about workouts.

It was about people trusting us with years of their lives.

Showing up before work for a decade.
Meeting spouses here.
Seeing the same coaches year after year.
Knowing the faces around you when life is great… and when it isn’t.

And maybe one of the things we’re most proud of…

People come back.

After kids.
After injuries.
After stressful jobs.
After moves.
After years away from training.
After confidence dips and seasons where fitness slid down the priority list.

We see people circle back all the time — not because they’re trying to become the athlete they were at 25 again, but because they want to feel like themselves again.

Sometimes they return to CrossFit.
Sometimes it’s REV/HYROX.
Sometimes strength training, open gym, or just rebuilding slowly.

Different season.
Different goals.
Same coaches.
Same community.
Same place they trusted before.

That kind of consistency matters.

17 years later our traditions are still here.
Our events are still packed.
Our coaches are still coaching.
Members from 2012 still walk through the doors.

With time, we’ve expanded:
100+ classes a week.
Multiple training paths.
CrossFit.
HYROX.
Strength training.
24/7 access.
Competitor programs.
Beginner programs.

The cool part?

All of that growth hasn’t pulled us away from performance either.

This year we had the same CrossFit Open participation as the peak years of the sport over a decade ago — and we have TWO homegrown teams heading to Semifinals.

Community first.
Trust first.
Show up long enough and results usually follow.

17 years in.
A building we own.
Still growing.

If you’ve been thinking about coming back… maybe this is your sign.

We’ll still be here.
And there’s a good chance the coach you remember will be too.
