What a nice start to the week! Kyle, Karter, and Kylea are in Canada racing.

Starting last, Kylea won Box Stock at Little Middleton in Ontario and Katfish won Open!

Now it's onto Oshweken tonight for Outlaw Kart Nationals.

Meanwhile, Adam and the team are at Millbridge with Cole Robie, Jace Pastore and Jace's buddy Wyatt Roy who won the Cadet B Main last night first time in the kart!

We love it when the kids do well.

Karter Beattie Wins Twice As KBR/SKE Continue To Show Strength Around The Nation - Kylea, Cole Sculthorpe Also Victorious

CONCORD, N.C. -- Photo courtesy of Eight1 Racewear -- Winning races is nothing new for Karter Beattie, but there is more to watch these days than simply how many trophies the 15-year-old brings home.

Beattie put together another strong week behind the wheel, winning the 250cc National feature at Thunder Hill Speedway in Wisconsin before returning home and scoring an Open Outlaw victory during NC Kart Week at Millbridge Speedway.

It was another successful week for Karter, but also another glimpse at how much he continues to develop as a racer.

The speed has never really been the question. Karter recently became the first driver to reach 50 career victories at Millbridge.

But he has been winning races in Outlaw Karts and other equipment for years, traveling across the nation to compete against the best of the best in national events, and learning how to lose as gracefully as you win.

All of that is part of growing up in racing, and Karter has shown increasing signs this season that he is doing just that.

Last weekend offered another example.

The KBR/SKE team traveled to Thunder Hill Speedway, located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, and Karter came away with the 250cc National feature victory. He has had tremendous success over the years running in the Midwest, and it continues.

Kylea "Speedy" Beattie gave the family another reason to celebrate when she won the AJC International Clone feature, sending the Beatties home from Wisconsin with two major victories. Kylea has also shown tremendous improvement throughout this season, and her own increasing off-track maturity and growth is a joy to watch.

Then it was back to Millbridge for NC Kart Week.

Kylea opened the week Tuesday with a strong second-place finish in the Jr. Wing feature.

Karter finished fourth in the Open Outlaw main event, one spot ahead of SKE racer Payton Johnson in fifth. Trace Latour finished 11th in the Beginner Box Stock feature.

On Wednesday, "Katfish" did himself three spots better.

He won the Open Outlaw feature, giving him his second victory in less than a week and continuing a late summer stretch that has seen him find his way back to victory lane on a much more regular basis.

But, success in racing isn't always about results. You can't always control the conditions that create those. One night you finish fourth. You work on what needs to be worked on, then come back the next night and try again.

At 15, Karter, like countless other young racers, is still learning. But the racer we are seeing now is becoming more experienced at dealing with the good nights, the bad ones, and everything in between.

Wednesday was a very good night for more than just Karter.

Ten-year-old Cole Sculthorpe continued what has become an impressive late summer run by winning the SKE Intermediate feature again.

The Cambridge, England-born racer has become a regular visitor to the front of the field over the past several weeks, with multiple victories and podium finishes at Millbridge.

Kylea finished fourth in the Intermediate main event.

Trace Latour also turned in an outstanding run Wednesday, racing to a second-place finish in the Jr. Sprint feature.

New England racer Cole Robie joined the KBR/SKE group for NC Kart Week and finished ninth in the Winged Micro main event.

It made for a strong week all the way around.

Karter won in Wisconsin and North Carolina. Kylea also won at Thunder Hill and finished second at Millbridge. Sculthorpe went back to victory lane again, while Latour added a runner-up finish of his own.

There are still going to be bad nights. There are still going to be races that get away. That is part of the education for any young driver who hopes to keep moving forward.

Karter, Kylea, and the entire KBR/SKE family of racers are learning those lessons together, while still having quite a bit of success along the way. Kyle, Adam and everyone who comprises the team around the family of drivers work long hours in the shop, and the reward for that is the success that all of our racers have.

Millbridge Speedway is back in action Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, Sept. 15, 16, and 19.

Johnson, Sculthorpe Score Millbridge Wins to Lead Strong KBR/SKE Late August Stretch

SALISBURY, N.C. - Photo by KaraC Photography - Payton Johnson and Cole Sculthorpe put Kyle Beattie Racing and SKE Chassis in victory lane during a busy three-race stretch at Millbridge Speedway to end August. At the same time, several other members of the KBR/SKE racing family turned in some of their strongest performances of the season.

For Sculthorpe in particular, it was quite a run.

The 10-year-old Cambridge, England-born racer followed his first career Millbridge victory with finishes of second, third and another win over the next 10 days.

The stretch began with Round 8 of the Millbridge Saturday Series on Aug. 22.

Coming just three days after his first Millbridge win, Sculthorpe nearly made it two in a row in the SKE Intermediate feature, finishing second. Emily Dietrich joined him on the podium in third, while Kylea "Speedy" Beattie finished fifth.

Trace Latour competed in two divisions, finishing eighth in the Jr. Sprint feature and ninth in Beginner Box Stock. Kegan Latour finished 15th in Beginner Box Stock.

Rylan Hall brought home a 10th-place finish in Box Stock, while "Handsome" Harry Stallard finished 13th in the Micro Sprint feature.

Four nights later, the Wednesday Series was back in action on August 26 for Round 14, and this time it was Payton Johnson's turn to put KBR/SKE in victory lane.

Johnson took the win in the Open Outlaw feature, leading a one-two finish for the KBR/SKE group as Coen McDaniel came home second.

"Katfish" Karter Beattie finished eighth in the Open feature and 10th in Winged Micro competition.

Sculthorpe's strong run continued in the SKE Intermediate division with a third-place finish. Dietrich crossed the line fifth, and Kylea Beattie finished sixth.

Dietrich also added a podium finish in Restricted Micro, coming home third.

Then came Saturday Series Round 9 on Aug. 29, and Sculthorpe was right back where he had been 10 days earlier.

Victory lane.

Sculthorpe picked up his second Millbridge win in the SKE Intermediate feature, capping a stretch that included two victories, a second and a third.

Kylea Beattie turned in one of her finest races of the season in the same feature, racing her way to a third-place finish. Dietrich was right behind her in fourth.

Trace Latour also had a big night, finishing second in the Jr. Sprint feature.

Kruz Horseman put together one of his strongest runs of the year in Beginner Box Stock, bringing home a fourth-place finish. Trace Latour finished 13th, and Kegan Latour was 15th.

Dietrich added another third-place finish in Restricted Micro, giving her two podiums over the three-race stretch.

"Handsome" Harry Stallard finished eighth in the Micro Sprint feature, Rylan Hall was 12th in Box Stock, and Aspen Kendall finished 11th in the Cadet division.

Three race nights produced two trips to victory lane, a collection of podium finishes, and another strong stretch for the KBR/SKE family at Millbridge.

The KBR and SKE racing family will be back in action at Millbridge Speedway for NC Race Week on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8th and 9th, with on-track action beginning at 6:15 PM Eastern.

Karter Scores 50th Career Millbridge Speedway Victory, Sculthorpe Wins One For the UK!

SALISBURY, N.C. Karter “Katfish” Beattie had been waiting all season for his first Millbridge Speedway victory of 2026.

When it finally came Wednesday night, he made it count.

The 15-year-old racer won the Open feature in a battle with KBR customer Payton Johnson, earning his 50th career victory at Millbridge Speedway and becoming the first driver to reach that milestone.

It was a big one.

Karter had to earn it, too, with Johnson leading and in the fight before the Katfish ultimately cooked up the winning combination and took the checkered flag.

Johnson finished second, and fellow SKE Kart racer Coen McDaniel added a seventh-place finish in the same feature.

Karter’s Winged Micro Sprint feature did not go nearly as well. A mechanical issue ended any hopes of another strong result, leaving him 19th in the final rundown.

There was another reason to celebrate later in the evening.

Ten-year-old British racer Cole Sculthorpe picked up his first Millbridge Speedway victory in the SKE Intermediate feature.

Sculthorpe, an SKE Chassis customer, ran a fantastic race on his way to the checkered flag and a memorable first victory at the track.

Fellow KBR/SKE customer Emily Dietrich joined him on the podium with a third-place finish.

Kylea “Speedy” Beattie started third and ran into some trouble early in the feature, but she worked her way back through the field and recovered to finish fifth at the stripe.

Between Karter reaching a historic Millbridge milestone and Sculthorpe earning his first win at the track, it was a pretty special Wednesday night for the KBR and SKE family.

Now it is time to do it again.

The Saturday contingent of KBR and SKE racers will be back in action at Millbridge Speedway Saturday night, with on-track action beginning at 5:30 p.m.

FIVE WINS IN TWO STATES FOR KYLE BEATTIE RACING AND SKE CHASSIS, KARTER WINS THREE

CONCORD, N.C. -- Kyle Beattie Racing and SKE Chassis took their show on the road this past week, heading west for a pair of major Outlaw Kart events in Illinois and Iowa.

By the time the dust settled, the trip had produced four feature wins, several podium finishes, and plenty of proof that the KBR and SKE racers could get it done well beyond their familiar surroundings at Millbridge Speedway.

The first stop was Viola Boyz Backroad Speedway in Viola, Illinois, for the Backroad Rumble.

Karter “Katfish” Beattie wasted little time making his presence felt, picking up the Intermediate Clone feature victory.

He nearly added more.

In the 250 feature, Karter spent most of the race running second. He struggled to make the bottom groove work late in the race, allowing one competitor to slip past, but still came home third with another podium finish.

The Open feature was a much tougher one to swallow.

Karter again spent much of the race running second and was still there when the caution came out with four laps remaining. On the restart, he picked up a cone and dragged it around the track, forcing him to restart from the rear with virtually no time left to recover.

The final result did not show just how strong the run had been.

Kylea “Speedy” Beattie had some heartbreak of her own at Viola.

She had worked herself into position behind the leader and was beginning to set up a crossover move for the top spot when the kart got sideways. By the time she gathered it back up, several positions had been lost along with her opportunity to race for the win, but it was still one of Kylea's strongest performances of the year.

There were two more trips to victory lane for the KBR and SKE group before leaving Illinois.

KBR customer Wyatt Bird captured the Box Stock feature, giving the team its second victory of the event, and Holden Harder in the "UF0" took the flag in the 250 Winged Outlaw A Main (Karter finished third) to make it three wins on the night at Viola on Saturday.

There was not much time to celebrate or dwell on the races that got away. KBR and SKE group headed for Knoxville, Iowa, and the Outlaw Dirt Kart Nationals at English Creek Speedway.

That is where an already strong trip turned into a big one.

Karter won twice.

He took the victory in the 250/125 Winged Outlaw feature and followed it with another win in Intermediate Winged.

And once again, he almost had more.

Karter finished second in Open 500cc, giving him two wins and a runner-up finish in his three English Creek feature appearances.

The 250/125 Winged Outlaw race was especially strong for the KBR and SKE group, with Holden Harder finishing second behind Karter to make it a one-two finish. Riley Dawson came home ninth, Levi “Beefstick” Ballard finished 14th, and Marshal Dawson was 16th.

In Open 500cc, Coen McDaniel joined Karter near the front with a sixth-place finish, while Riley Dawson finished ninth.

Mekhi Harshaw came home ninth in Adult Wing Outlaw, and Kylea finished 12th in the Box Stock feature.

Put the entire trip together, and the numbers tell a pretty good story.

KBR and SKE racers won four features across two states, with Karter accounting for three of them. He also added a second-place finish at English Creek and a third at Viola while spending significant portions of several other races battling at or near the front.

More importantly, the group showed speed at two tracks away from home and against fields they do not race with every week.

For Karter, Kylea, and the entire KBR and SKE family, it was a Midwest road trip that delivered victories, frustration, lessons, and plenty of reasons to be proud.

Five wins in two states have the team heading home to North Carolina with some renewed confidence, but again, not much time to relax as they get ready for the return to Millbridge this week.

Tuesday and Wednesday night's on-track action begins at 6:15 PM Eastern, while Saturday's on-track action gets underway at 5:30 PM Eastern. Stop out, meet Karter, Kylea, and the team, and pick up some merch at the trailer! If you can't be at the track, the racing is live on DirtVision each night.
