For the past 10 years, Street Beatz Dance Studio in Cortlandt Manor, NY, has proudly hosted "Dancers Against Cancer", a powerful annual fundraiser uniting local dance studios in the fight against cancer. This event was founded by Alexis Menendez, owner and director of Street Beatz, whose mission has inspired our community and raised between $13,000-$15,000 annually for local cancer organizations. Now entering its 11th year, this meaningful event faces an unexpected setback: the venue used in previous years is no longer renting for fundraising events leaving us without a location to continue this important work.
We are reaching out to our community and to you in hopes of finding support in securing a new space to host this event. We are looking for an affordable venue that can accommodate a stage or open dance area, seating for attendees, and ideally, basic sound capabilities OR sponsors to help us take on a larger venue. The show must go on and with the help of our neighbors, we believe it can. If you’re able to help us share this story, we’d be incredibly grateful.
