Began instruction in advanced martial arts techniques and theory, including Pakua/Chinese Boxing under Sifu Garan Smith 1976 - 1990. Began instruction under Grandmaster Sekou Bomani, Founder/Grandmaster Instructor of the Bomani Federation of Martial Arts in 1996 (Grandmaster Sekou is a former Olympian and Master Instructor in Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Pakua: in addition to mastery of other Martial Arts disciplines), received supplemental training with Master Romeo Black, Senior Instructor Bomani Federation of Martial Arts and Founder Chi House Dragons. Kyooshi Bolden provided self-defense training for Marygrove College Campus Police in 1997 and 1998 and began training in 1998 for Bomani Martial Arts Federation Instructor Certification under Grandmaster Sekou with supplemental training with Master Romeo Black. Kyooshi Bolden participated and/or coordinated varied community outreach presentations with Grandmaster Sekou, Sensei Ptah Taharqa and Master Romeo Black 1998 - 2000. Received Instructor Certification from Sensei Ptah Taharqa of the Bomani Federation of Martial Arts; July 2000. July 1, 2002 co-founded the Atmospheric Training Academy - ATA (w/Kyooshi Rodney Magee, Level Five Instructor - Musashi Ryu Martial Arts). November 2002, requested and received authorization from Sensei Ptah Taharqa of the Bomani Federation of Martial Arts to pursue additional martial arts training with Musashi Ryu Martial Arts. November 2002, accepted as student and began instruction in Ninpo - Taijutsu under the guidance of Shidoshi R. Marine, Musashi Ryu Martial Arts. 2003 Received Initial Certification in Ninpo Taijutsu under the guidance of Shidoshi R. Marine, Musashi Ryu Martial Arts.Officially promoted to 5th Degree Blackbelt by Grandmaster Faouly Sekou Bomani (Rev, Dr. Bruce Landers), Founder Bomani Federation of Martial Arts February 13, 2017. Sensei Magee is a Level Five Instructor in the art of Ninpo, with over twenty-five years of Martial (Science) Arts training in unarmed hand-to-hand combat, weapons, and forms (kata). Ninpo is a cross trained art consisting of a wide range of combat styles. In addition to the self-defense aspects of this art Ninpo teaches discipline, self-control, leadership, respect for self and others. Certified to teach training in Nin-po Tiajutsu, Taihenjutsu, Dakentaijutsu, Jutaijutsu, Bojutsu, Hanbojutsu, Iaijutsu, Tantojutsu, Shurikenjutsu by Musashi Ryu Martial Arts — under the guidance of Shidoshi Marine in 1990 Sensei Magee obtained the rank of Dokko, in 1993 Diakongo, in 1996 advanced to Sotojishi, in 2003 Sensei Magee (Lion) received Uchijishi-in. Shidoshi R. Marine, founder of Musashi Ryu Martial Arts. Is a global practitioner of the Art and Way and has shared his knowledge of the Spiritual aspect of Mind and Body manipulation to his students worldwide. Sensei Magee has provided training to hundreds of individuals; facilitating martial arts programs in several local public schools, public service agencies, and community centers; assisting youth in learning non-violent conflict resolution, leadership skills, coping skills, systematic problem solving and social skills. Sensei Magee is the founder of Shield 4 Life an Executive Protection Service based in Los Angeles, CA specializing in armed and unarmed security, driver/escort services, event protection, fire arms training, and advanced personal protection training.
