Congratulations Erie Express!!!
We are pleased to announce that we have been invited to, and accepted the invite, to play in next years (January 2027) All American Bowl USA Bowl XIX Spring/Summer Division National Championship Bowl Game in Daytona Beach, FL.
This will be our fourth trip to play for a National Championship in the past six seasons. (2022 National Champion 25-24 over Iredell County Warriors, 2023 National Championship Runners Up 17-20 Minneapolis Warriors, 2025 National Championship Runners Up Indy Bison 41-0).
These National Bowl games are designed to place top teams from across the country against one another in a game they normally would not be able to play. There will be a "National Champion" crowned for the Top 25, Summer, Spring and Fall seasons.
Our opponent has yet to be determined but we will let you know as soon as we know.
The Express are ranked #10 by the USA Bowl Committee and come into the game 12-4 on the 2026 season. The Express were champions of the PAFL finishing (8-3 PAFL, 4-1 Pre Season) with losses to the #1 Detroit Hurricanes, #2 Beaver County Bengals #3 Cleveland Broncos and #4 Steel City Bobcats. Erie entered the playoffs as the #5 seed and avenged three of those losses on the road knocking off the Bobcats in round one, Hurricanes in round two and the Bengals in the championship game. Erie's (non PAFL) other loss was to the Bengals in a pre season game.
Erie defeated the Iredell County Warriors to win the 2022 USA Bowl Summer Division National Title. The Express came up just short in the 2023 USA Bowl, losing to the Minneapolis Warriors 17-20. We were absolutely outmatched and committed by the Bison 41-0 in 2025.
We were not committed as a team in 2025 and the end result was terrible for us as well as our opponent. That will never happen again. As of today, 49 members of last years championship roster have verbally committed to playing for another National Title in January, so if that holds true we like our chances against anyone.
The game will be played at Municipal Stadium on January 16th. Kickoff is set for 2pm. FREE parking, concessions and merchandise available at the game. There will be a LIVE Broadcast available at USABOWL.ORG. We will provide LIVE updates via X, Facebook and ScoreStream as always.
We wish to give a special thank you to Troy Bingham and his team at the Erie Sports Center for their unwavering commitment to helping us reach the championship in 26 and play for another title in 27. We would not be here if not for their help.
We hope to kick off the 2027 season as National Champions. The task will not be an easy one as all teams who get an invite are the best of the best. We welcome and look forward to the challenge our opponent will present. GO EXPRESS!
