🔥 SANDLOT CHALLENGE RECAP 🔥

The Hit Dogs Evansville battled all weekend and showed grit, resilience, and some outstanding individual performances!

🐾 Tournament Highlights:
⚾ 42 runs scored on 47 hits
⚾ Dominant pitching performances across the whole staff
⚾ Battled back from deficits and never stopped competing

💥 Offensive MVP - #99 Clay Haley came up big in run-producing situations all weekend including a walk-off double against Southside Smoke on Saturday!

🔥 Defensive MVP - Hit Dogs pitching was phenomenal all weekend long, putting up a combined 2.07 ERA (9 ER) and a 1.07 WHIP with 32 K's while only giving up 7 walks all weekend long

Most importantly, the boys continued to grow, compete, and represent the Hit Dogs with tremendous effort and sportsmanship especially in an absolute battle against the USSSA #1 ranked Indiana ( #19 Nationally) 10U Major Athletics Baseball Club Black.

Your Hit Dogs put together a strong weekend on the diamond, going 3-1 with big plays, tough pitching, and relentless energy! ⚾🔥

The Dogs opened with a 10-4 win over Missouri Gators Eaton 10U, using an 11-hit attack and aggressive baserunning to pull away. Risner led the charge at the plate while the team swiped 10 bases and exploded for five runs in the fourth inning.

After a tough matchup against Mineral Area Nationals on Saturday, the team answered back Sunday with a gritty 3-2 victory behind a dominant complete-game performance from Shelton, who struck out six over six innings with no earned runs.

The weekend wrapped up with another win over Missouri Gators Eaton 10U, 7-4. Risner launched an inside-the-park home run, while Trowbridge and Fuller delivered key RBIs to help seal the championship.

GMB Named Gage Shelton and Aydenn Payton Tournament Co-MVPs with their Top Ten award.

Players of the week:

Jacob Risner - #23 continued to be a table setter for the offense with some hard shots at the plate including a moonshot that would have been over any standard sized field for 10U.

Holden Belwood - #7 was clutch behind the dish keeping the ball in front of him and holding runners in scoring position while being a constant voice of encouragement to the pitchers.

Proud of the fight, hustle, and teamwork this group showed all weekend long! Keep up the work boys!💪⚾

The boys brought home the hardware after an incredible run at the USSSA Under Armour Hard 90! 💪⚾️

We've had 3 weekends on the road full of ups and downs. These boys showed up on Sunday when it mattered most with clutch hitting, and dominant pitching. From explosive innings at the plate to lockdown defense, the Dogs proved they’re one of the toughest teams around.
