Fall Season Update

Our fall season has come to an end and here is an update on how the team performed.

Our team members this season were: Lily Stevenson, Destiny Reed, Raeleigh Brown, Tristan Voyles, Jeremiah Reed, Jabob Stevenson, Charlee Griffis, Jaxon Crumpler and Cooper Caddell.

We were in Conference 1 and there were 6 schools in our conference. Statewide there were 242 total shooters. Awards are given to the top team in each conference, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place boys and the same for girls. There is also an award given to the top boy, top girl, and top shooter overall in the state.

First Place in Conference 1: EXETER

Boys: Tristan Voyles 1st Place

Jacob Stevenson 3rd Place:

Girls: Lily Stevenson 1st Place
Destiny Reed 3rd Place:

We also watched all season because our top shooter, Tristan, was right at the top statewide all season. He ended up in 2nd place statewide missing 1st place by .010 of a point. His average for the season was 24.6 per round and the winners average was 24.7. So close!!

We recognize and appreciate our top shooters, but it takes an entire team to win 1st place. All of the shooters performed very well this season and that's why the team performed well.

A special thanks to Donnie Gautney, our assistant coach, Mary Fellows, our score keeper. We also receive great support from Amanda Voyles who handles fundraising, Amber Stevenson who takes our pictures and does our PR. And there are always parents and friends that step up to help in many ways during a season.

The community is very supportive with donations and their encouragement. The team is proud to be a part of the Exeter community and bring recognition to them.

We are already getting ready for the Spring season which will be here before you realize it. Keep watching the team for hopefully even greater accomplishments.

Registration is now closed and we're ready to go. Our first shoot is Wednesday the 16th right after school. Make sure everyone knows in case they haven't read any posts. See you soon.

If you haven't signed up for the upcoming Fall Season, you only have until next Monday, September 7th at noon to do so.

Our first shoot for the season is Wednesday, September 16th right after school. It is a practice day and for reserve scores. If you don't have a calendar we'll have some that day.

Also, if you are not getting REMIND messages, you will need to update or reload their app. I keep getting messages when I send anything that says you will not get messages unless you do so.

I am also looking into changing to the band communication app. Some coaches are using it now and they like it. I'll let you know if we do.

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth for a visit and to purchase a raffle ticket. All the proceeds go to offset some of the expenses of operating a school shooting team.

The winner of the 50/50 drawing was Zachary Welch and he graciously donated all his winnings right back to the team! Thank you very much Zachary.

We also sold several tickets for the Wi******er drawing which we'll be doing in December.

Again, thanks for your support and we look forward to our next event at Back-to-school night. We'll have a booth there so if you or your kids are interested in the shooting sports stop by and we'll talk to you about our requirements.
