Let’s all get back to work!!!

Training is the way!!

The USA GASSHUKU instructed by Tamayose Sensei is over, but our training is not!
There are many things I hope everyone takes from the instruction they received. By order of importance is our stances as Sensei teaches us relative to our Kobudo. A separation between our style of Karate, no matter what the Ryu Ha, should be given serious consideration in our daily practice. For me the stance adjustments were the easier waza to differentiate between my Karate and Kobudo. Let’s all work hard together over the next 7 months to show our commitment to our training of Tamayose Sensei’s way of Kobudo.
In addition the depth of our stances. While age and limitations due to injury are an obstacle for some, as Sensei fully understands, please work on the depth of your stances. A strong foundation is key to performance, but also strong legs keep future limitations, due to age and injury, at bay longer into the later years of our training.
Mo sukosh mo sukosh mo sukosh
GAMBARE!

What a week so far!! Sensei John and Sensei Cindy hosted our 2026 Gasshaku with Tamayose Sensei, and Sensei Brian Ash, our senior Tesshinkan USA Representative.

I’d like to congratulate the students from our dojo for their hard work and well earned promotions after challenging the test.

I couldn’t be more proud of you all.

Surround yourself with the best people and do what you love! That’s the secret.
