In conversation with Grandmaster Sahaj Grover

World U-10 Champion at 9. India’s youngest International Master at 14. But earning his final Grandmaster norm took three years of missing it, again and again — sometimes by a single game.

In Episode 4 of Masters of the Board, CHESS KLUB Founder & CEO Sudev Rajah sits down with GM Sahaj Grover for his first-ever podcast interview.

Tune in as they talk about the heartbreak of near-misses, the unexpected opening that won him the title, and his advice for the next generation of players.

It’s been some time… but honestly, we’re still in the GCL hangover! ♟️❤️

From 16 tournaments across 16 centres to Tech Mahindra campuses, our GCL stall and 4 days of incredible crowd engagement at the Fanzone.

Hectic. Chaotic. Exhausting. Exciting. And absolutely worth every bit of it.

Here’s a little reel to relive some of those moments, because some memories deserve a replay. ❤️

Still smiling. Still talking about it. Still not over GCL. ✨

Some moments remind you that age is just a number, but passion has no age.

Hosting the 50+ Senior Citizens Blitz Tournament at the GCL Fanzone was truly special.

We watched grandparents, parents and lifelong chess lovers sit across the board, think, compete, laugh, cheer and most importantly, enjoy the game they love. What touched us most was the sheer enthusiasm and childlike excitement with which every player stepped onto the board.

It wasn't just a tournament. It was a beautiful reminder that the love for chess never grows old. ❤️

To every participant who showed us that the spirit to compete, learn and enjoy life only gets stronger with time, thank you for making this an unforgettable experience.

Chess doesn't ask your age. It simply asks you to make your next move.
