Tomorrow from 12-4 is our annual Student Appreciation Day / VIP Registration! Come and enjoy a bounce house & slide, face painting, balloon animals, performances every 30 minutes & our current students will also receive a FREE Snow Cone! Additional snow cones can be purchased for $5 and 20% will go to our competition dance fund & our teams that will be headed to Florida for nationals in June 2027!

🤩Uplift Dance Project Competition Team Auditions TODAY!
⬇️Note adjusted times below

Saturday, May 9th at Uplift Dance Project
*Have your dancer arrive 15 minutes prior to the audition to receive an audition number and to fill out an audition form.
*Auditions will be closed to spectators and we will not be allowing anyone in the viewing rooms. Parents are encouraged to wait in their cars in the parking lot or head out to run errands or grab something to eat/drink. We are very close to a great Starbucks!
*For hip hop dancers are encouraged to wear tennis shoes and comfortable athletic/dance clothing. For jazz dancers are encouraged to wear jazz shoes or half-soles if they have them and comfortable athletic/dance clothing with their hair pulled back. If your dancer does not have jazz shoes, regular tennis shoes are just fine for now.
*Dancers will warm-up then learn some across the floor exercises and a short combination. They do NOT have to come with anything prepared choreography wise for the audition.
*Dancers/Parents will be notified of the results via email within 24 hours of the audition.

🤩COMPETITIVE TEAM MEETING AND AUDITIONS MAY 8TH AND 9TH!

We are heading into our second season with our competitive teams and can't wait to invite new members! These teams are for dancers ages 5-18 wanting to improve, grow & test their skills on the competition stage. We just completed our first "short" competition season with 3 local/regional competitions and our dancers are truly excelling! In the 2026-2027 season we will be attending 3 local regional competitions (usually in the months of February-May 2027) and one national competition in Panama City Beach Florida June 15th-20th 2027. What is new in the upcoming season that begins in August? More training opportunities and new teams including lyrical/contemporary and a production/line with a "Grease" theme! Competition dancers are also invited to compete a solo and duet/trios as well. Most of you also know that we are moving into our new and improved studio space in June! It is in the same complex and will have a lobby, two large dance rooms and two restrooms. So many exciting things happening at Uplift Dance Project!

Our parent informational meeting will be on this Friday, May 8th at 7pm at the studio at 13021 Harmon Rd #405 in Fort Worth across from Ratchet Bros & Hounds Town in the Harmon Industrial Condos. Dancers are welcome to attend too! I encourage parents to bring their own chairs in case we run out. The meeting should last about one hour and we will be going over requirements and what to expect.

Auditions will be the very next day on Saturday, May 9th! The schedule is as follows. Dancers will be warmed up, execute some across the floor exercises and taught a short combo for each style. Dancers do NOT need to come with their own choreography. Please arrive 10 minutes before your dancer's scheduled audition time. Auditions will be closed to spectators and our viewing rooms will also be closed. Comfortable dance attire of any color and appropriate dance shoes are recommended. Hair needs to be pulled back for jazz and lyrical/contemporary.
