This is a wonderful event where Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and surrounding communities can come out and support the Parkinson's community by running or walking the distance of their choice.

The 5K is a mix of a trail and pavement run. This is event is timed. Ages 12 and up.
The 1 mile course is all paved and wheelchair accessible. The 1 mile course is not officially timed.

All of the proceeds will be going to our YMCA Parkinson's/Therapeutic Wellness Department and to our local Parkinson's Association.

Join Us as a Course Marshal for the YMCA Turkey Trot!

Hi YMCA Community,

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means it’s almost time for our Annual YMCA Turkey Trot! This event is always a wonderful celebration of health, community, and fun – but we can’t do it without the support of our amazing volunteers!
We’re currently looking for Course Marshal volunteers who can help keep our runners safe and on track. This role is crucial for the event's success, as you’ll be guiding and cheering on participants along the course. No experience is needed – just bring your energy and enthusiasm!

Details:
• Date: Thursday, November 28th
• Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours

As a Course Marshal, you’ll receive a special volunteer shirt and the chance to enjoy some pre- and post-race festivities with the team. Most importantly, you’ll be helping to create a safe and memorable experience for our runners.
