In an ever-changing world, I wonder why the dance world still struggles so deeply to change.

Dance gave me a voice long before I knew how to use one.

An art built in silence somehow taught me to be loud.

I was brave in the quiet.

And eventually, that bravery followed me beyond the studio.

So to every dancer finding their way—your voice is part of your artistry, too. When something is unjust, use it. And when someone in power asks for your silence, remember that sometimes it is not your voice that needs reevaluation, but the space asking you to quiet it.

Dance can live in silence.

Dancers should not have to.

Be brave in the quiet.
Be louder when it matters.

True artists need their voices to survive... and to BECOME.

A new petit allegro for your next to try on. I am dyslexic and for the longest time I felt like everything was such a challenge… Except puzzles. I was able to figure out puzzles easily. Then came … then came teaching. Somehow I felt like things were easier and I found dyslexia was my super power. This pattern mirrors itself. Enjoy “Mrs. Jen’s favorite jump”!

This for fondus is one I particularly like to do to utilize the floor to help feel my hamstring engagement. When I fall short on time with dinner cooking while the kiddos can be preoccupied and I need to do a speed this helps me feel fulfilled in its simplicity while being short on time. Give it a try!
