This Memorial Day Weekend, we're taking on The Murph together๐บ๐ธ
Murph is a hero workout named for Lt. Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL killed in action in 2005. Memorial Day weekend, gyms around the world take it on to honor him and the fallen.
The RX version is no joke, so we built a Phoenix Scaled version that meets you where you are.

Trainer Tuesday: Dr. Carrie Clark โญ
Carrie is an emergency medical physician and NASM certified trainer who brings deep medical knowledge and a genuine love for helping people feel strong and healthy to every session at Phoenix.
She coaches Friday mornings and has room for one more client, so reach out if you want in.
When she's not coaching, you'll find her with her husband and two boys, traveling, or cheering way too loudly for Michigan State athletics.

Trainer Tuesday Spotlight: Maggie Kerkstra โญ
Maggie has been at Phoenix for nearly 5 years, and she's absolutely loving every minute of it.
Dental hygienist by day, Phoenix trainer by passion, and somehow mom of 3 teenagers through all of it. She still finds time to crush CrossFit and powerlifting with friends, and she has a gift for making you realize your body is capable of incredible things while having FUN doing it.
Fave exercise: Anything with friends (especially CrossFit & powerlifting)
Fave hobby: Going to the movies with popcorn + Diet Coke (non-negotiable combo)
Fave food: Rice, beef, and broccoli (yes, really, she promises)
Fave treat: Crumbl Cookie ๐ช
If you need someone to hype you up, make you laugh, and remind you that fitness is better with good people, Maggie is your trainer. She's proof that you can juggle it all and still show up strong. ๐ช

Big weekend for the Phoenix crew!
Our client, Haley, ran her first half marathon, which is a massive milestone and we couldn't be prouder of her for crossing that finish line.
Phoenix also brought two teams to the Tru Challenge hosted by 3rd Monkey Functional Fitness
๐ฅSteve, Dave, and Brandon took first in their division, and for Brandon and Dave, it was their very first competition.

Sarah, Christy, and Erika competed too, with Erika stepping into her first competition ever and Christy getting back on the floor after foot surgery in October.
