Expand your proficiencies with some basic wrestling techniques. In this seminar we’ll cover
handfighting, leg attacks, and counters from our feet.

Bio - Doug Umbehauer
Doug Umbehauer has been a homegrown, South Jersey wrestler since the fresh age of
four. He was a 3x NJ State place winner and HS National Finalist from Lenape High
School. At Rider University, he wrestled 184 lbs, becoming a Midlands finalist, 4x
conference finalist, and 2x conference champ. In 2009, Doug became an NCAA
Division I All-American, placing 3
rd and compiling 100 wins in the process.
After graduating from Rider, he was invited to train as a Resident Athlete at the Nittany
Lion Wrestling Club under Gold Medalist, Cael Sanderson. During that time, Doug
competed in the World Team Trials, placed in multiple international competitions, and
even represented Team USA on Russian soil.
As a coach, he has helped produce an Olympic silver medalist, two national champs,
and multiple All-Americans from Rider and Penn State. Currently, Doug is the Assistant
Coach at Rider University, and volunteers as the head coach of the local youth wrestling
team. He currently resides in Shamong, NJ with his wife and their six (awesome) kids!
