This week’s Pinhook Yacht Club Tuesdee Night Regatta will be heading back to Ditto Landing for the free music at the pavilion. Last month was cancelled due to rain so we’re going to try it again. We will weigh anchor 30 minutes early (5:30) since the music only lasts until 8:00. This is a 30-ish mile ride but is flat as a fritter and conversational pace…no wake, idle speed only.

David Byrne has put out a cycling playlist, and it runs 40 songs deep. 🎤

The Talking Heads co-founder just released "Biking Playlist" on Spotify, the August installment of David Byrne Radio. It's about two and a quarter hours, opening with Mitski, then Allison Russell, with Dry Cleaning a few tracks in. It's also on Apple Music and Mixcloud.

This is what he actually rides to. Byrne is 74 and eleven months into the Who Is the Sky? Tour, and the whole band travels with folding bikes.

"If I have an afternoon off I'll often go for a ride to clear my head," he wrote in the playlist description. "And if I'm on my own and it's a secure path or not a busy road... I'll listen to this playlist."

He's been touring with a folding bike since the 1980s. He wrote Bicycle Diaries in 2009, and that same year auctioned his Montague folding bike for the London Cycling Campaign.

Cyclists on Reddit were split within hours. Too mellow for real efforts, some said. Others won't ride with music at all, because they need to hear what's behind them.

Show wraps up at 8:00pm. We’ll take the parade route home. When all is said and done, this is a 32 mile ride but it’s flat as a fritter. Conversational pace. No wake…idle speed only. 🏴‍☠️
