🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE TO HUNTSVILLE–MADISON AREA MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOLS 🚨

I’m making this post because I am no longer willing to remain silent while false information about my business is being circulated.

I am publicly addressing my experience with Jamison Yow and her family, who participated in my martial arts program for approximately four months.

During their time in the program, they entered into contractual agreements with my business. Those agreements were subsequently breached, and a contractual buyout/payment was made. That payment was then disputed twice, resulting in the payment being charged back against my business.

Those chargebacks directly reduced our business revenue for that month and created a significant financial impact on our program. As a small, independently operated martial arts school, revenue from our students goes directly toward keeping the program running, maintaining our facility, purchasing equipment, covering operating expenses, and reinvesting into the children and families who continue to participate in our program.

When payments are improperly disputed after services have been provided and contractual obligations have been established, the consequences aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet. It directly affects our ability to operate, grow, and continue providing opportunities for the students who are still committed to our program.

Following that, false and misleading information was circulated regarding my business and the circumstances surrounding their participation.

More seriously, a claim was made that her grandson was injured by an unauthorized individual while under our care. That allegation is false. Our business maintains signed agreements, waivers, participant records, and other documentation relating to the individuals who participated in our program and the operation of our facility.

We have documentation supporting our position and are prepared to provide that documentation through the appropriate channels if necessary.

I take the safety of every student who enters my facility extremely seriously. The suggestion that I knowingly allowed an unauthorized person to harm a child in my care is a serious allegation and one that I categorically dispute.

I am not posting this to create drama or attack anyone. I am posting it because false allegations about a martial arts school, its owner, and the safety of its students can have serious consequences, and I will defend my business and my reputation when necessary.

To the martial arts school owners and instructors throughout the Huntsville–Madison area: please do your own due diligence before accepting this family into your program. I strongly recommend reviewing all documentation, contracts, payment history, and communications before making any decisions.

I have kept the records. I have the signed agreements. I have the payment records. I have the communications.

Ascend Taekwondo Center will always stand behind the safety of our students, the integrity of our program, and the truth of what actually occurred.
