Brooks Y Locker Room Showers Closure

The locker room showers will be closed on Friday, August 21 while we complete necessary repairs.

The rest of the locker room will remain open and available for use, including:
- Toilets
- Sinks
- Lockers (private and public)
- Lounge area
- Sauna

The showers are expected to reopen on Saturday, August 22 at 7:00am.

We also want to reassure our Aqua Fitness participants that both the 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM Aqua Fitness classes will take place as scheduled on Friday. Please just be aware that the showers will not be available for use.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to keep our facility in the best possible condition.

Back-to-School Community Food Distribution at the Brooks Y

School is almost back in session, and we want to help make sure every family is fed and ready for an awesome school year! Join us this Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Brooks Family YMCA for a free community food distribution.

Food boxes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Please help us spread the word to friends, neighbors, and families who may benefit from this event.

Turtles, snakes and lizards oh my!! We loved having Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens visit our summer camp today. Everyone got up close and personal with some awesome animals.

Join the Brooks Y Youth Boxing Club! Starting Wed, August 5 at 6pm. Coach Andres will introduce participants ages 8–12 to the fundamentals of boxing in a safe, non-contact, and fun environment. The focus is on fitness, coordination, discipline, and confidence, rather than competition or fighting.
