Royal YOUth Dance Ensemble Royal Youth Dance is a performing arts program for youth ages 3-20. Hello, my name is Sherra Robinson. Come join the RYDE!

I am the Founder/Director of the Royal YOUth Dance Ensemble or RYDE, which is a community-based dance program for children and youth ages 3-18. Our MISSION is to provide a creative outlet for youth that builds character, raises self-esteem, boosts confidence, and promotes positive interaction through artistic expression. Our VISION is to inspire youth to use the arts and its disciplines to aid them through life and its experiences. Our HOPE is that the arts will act as a vehicle for guiding them thru cultural exposure, enrichment, and enjoyment, which leads to healthier outcomes. All program participants are called Gemstones or Gems because they are valuable, precious and delicate. We encourage them to shine bright and be a beacon of light...in regards to their behaviors, their self-image, when with their peers, when they're in school...wherever they go. We operate all year but in terms: Winter (Jan-May), Summer Camps (June-July), and Fall (Aug-Dec). At the end of each term, our hope is that our Gems will continue to shine and develop natural character traits that will aid them in forming healthy relationships with their peers, their families, and their communities. Our Motto:

💜💎 HELP OUR ROYAL GEMS R.I.S.E.! 💎💜

Our Royal Gems Dance Company is preparing for its FIRST regional dance competition in February 2027!

They’re building technique, teamwork, and confidence—and you can help them take this exciting next step.

✨ $25 contributes toward competition expenses.
✨ $50 covers one dancer’s costume, new tights, and jazz shoes.
✨ $100 or more helps offset participation costs.
✨ Business and community sponsorships are available!

Our families are fundraising, too. Your support will help close the gap and make this opportunity accessible to our dancers.

👑 RYDE OUTREACH IS OFFICIALLY IN MOTION! 💜💛

What started with an interest form has turned into an incredible response — 100+ families interested in accessible dance opportunities for their children! And now, our dancers are walking through the doors. 🙌🏾

This fall, RYDE is bringing dance and youth development directly into 6 schools + 1 community site, including the Boys & Girls Club at Norwood.

And we're doing more than teaching dance steps.

Have you been looking for an affordable dance opportunity for your child?

You don’t have to attend one of our current RYDE Outreach schools to join the RYDE!

We are working behind the scenes to bring RYDE dance classes to a community location, opening another pathway for NEW and returning families to participate! 🙌🏾

✨ WHAT WE’RE PLANNING:

🐝 An 8-week dance session
📅 Tentative start: Week of September 14th
💵 Reduced tuition: $100 for the ENTIRE 8 weeks
📝 $15 registration fee
📍 Community center location — **pending final confirmation**
💜 Open to families throughout the community!
