Thank you to jessab711 for inviting me out to spend an evening with the Twin River Equestrian Team. Two sessions of 13 riders each session was definitely the largest group I have ever presented to and an exciting new challenge for me. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share some ideas with your talented team and look forward to following their WAHSET competition season!

If a barn is a sanctuary in an unsettled world I think we are building one in proportion to the depth of unsettledness in so many hearts recently.

It is my prayer that people will be drawn here to experience the basic goodness of humanity combined with an appreciation for life itself through their partnership with horses.

I hope it’s a place you leave your political views, stress over things you cannot control, and your phone in the truck and unload your sense of peace and purpose from the trailer. Where you’re too busy loping to scroll. Where 4 legs are turning instead of your anxiety.

Riot went to town for her first show in WA, second show ever yesterday and she was ready to play! Jerrod missed Sniper, of course, but considering how things can go when you take a young horse out at first, he ended up delighted about how well she listened and kept her forward motion. Especially with 138 riders and PLENTY to take in. No videos were captured, but her turns were solid and she can scoot! So proud of her and how she handled it all! We are very excited for her future!
