Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange Stymied By SE Guilford

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange had trouble keeping up with SE Guilford in a 14-0 loss on Wednesday at Southeast Guilford High School.

SE Guilford jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after #86 hit a solo home run to left field, #6 singled, scoring two runs, #50 singled, scoring one run, and #46 singled, scoring two runs.

SE Guilford scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. #24 singled, scoring one run, #24 scored after tagging up, #6 drew a walk, scoring one run, #50 drew a walk, scoring one run, #51 drew a walk, scoring one run, and #72 doubled, scoring two runs.

SE Guilford added one run in the third after #45 singled to center field.

Waylon Moll started the game for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and 11 runs (six earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three. #86 began the game for SE Guilford. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking two.

SE Guilford piled up 13 hits in the game. #18 and #86 each collected two hits for SE Guilford. #6 and #72 each drove in two runs for SE Guilford. SE Guilford worked the count all day, accumulating six walks. SE Guilford were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. #24 made the most plays with 12.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange will travel to WF Green for their next game on Friday.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey Stymied By WF Blue

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey had trouble keeping up with WF Blue in a 20-5 loss on Tuesday at 101 W Ninth Ave.

WF Blue got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, Jayden Peoples singled, scoring one run, Will Trexler was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Layton S singled, scoring two runs.

WF Blue added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Jayden Peoples singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

WF Blue scored five runs on four hits in the top of the third inning. Carter Secrist drew a walk, scoring one run, Jayden Peoples grounded out, scoring one run, Evan Nieberg singled, scoring one run, and Layton S doubled, scoring two runs.

WF Blue scored five runs on six hits in the top of the fifth inning. Noah E singled, scoring one run, Langston U singled, scoring one run, Tatum Drew singled, scoring two runs, and Evan Nieberg doubled, scoring one run.

Corbin Markland opened the game for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey. The hurler allowed six hits and 12 runs (seven earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking five. Jayden Peoples opened the game for WF Blue. The starter surrendered four hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.

Colton Shumate, Tucker Beck, and Braxton Ladd each collected two hits for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey. Colton Shumate went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in.

WF Blue tallied 17 hits in the game. WF Blue's Evan Nieberg, the number eight hitter, led WF Blue with four hits in five at bats. Layton S and Evan Nieberg each drove in four runs for WF Blue. Finnly M and Jayden Peoples each collected multiple hits for WF Blue. WF Blue had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. West Parker and Will Trexler led the team with two bases on balls each. Finnly M stole two bases. WF Blue turned one double play in the game. WF Blue didn't commit a single error in the field. Will Trexler had the most chances in the field with two.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs Take Lead And Never Look Back In Win Over Moore County Post 12

Post 8 Senior Hawgs won big over Moore County Post 12 8-2 on Monday at Holt-Moffitt BallPark.

A single by Carson West put Post 8 Senior Hawgs on the board in the bottom of the second.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Carson Michael doubled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Cam Sharpe earned the win for Post 8 Senior Hawgs. The pitcher gave up six hits and one run (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. R Stephens took the loss for Moore County Post 12. The starter went three and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs (seven earned) on six hits, striking out five and walking six. James Reynolds appeared in relief for Post 8 Senior Hawgs.

Carson Michael drove the middle of the lineup, leading Post 8 Senior Hawgs with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Cooper Young went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 8 Senior Hawgs in hits. Cam Sharpe led Post 8 Senior Hawgs with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Carson West stole two bases. Post 8 Senior Hawgs turned two double plays in the game.

G Shaffer led Moore County Post 12 with one run batted in. H Purvis led Moore County Post 12 with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position.

Braxton Hedrick collected four hits in five at bats, as Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange defeated Post 12 Moore County Jr 2026 17U 12-6 on Monday at 101 W Ninth Ave. Braxton Hedrick singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange opened the scoring in the first after Braxton Jones singled, scoring two runs.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Braxton Hedrick singled, scoring one run, Jackson Benedict induced Marshall Howell to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, and Eli Gaston doubled, scoring one run.

Lucas Powell stepped on the mound first for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange. The hurler allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Jackson Benedict began the game for Post 12 Moore County Jr 2026 17U. The starter surrendered seven hits and six runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Graylan Craver and Major Howell each appeared in relief for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange.
