Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey Stymied By WF Blue

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey couldn't keep up with WF Blue and fell 12-0 on Thursday at West Forsyth High School.

WF Blue opened the scoring in the first after Jayden P singled, scoring one run.

WF Blue added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey committed an error, and Ryan S grounded out, each scoring one run.

A double by P, an error, and a ground out by Jaxon P helped WF Blue extend their early lead in the third.

WF Blue scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Finnly M singled, scoring one run, Noah E singled, scoring one run, Langston U singled, scoring one run, E scored after tagging up, and P doubled, scoring one run.

Mason Chapman led things off on the mound for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey. The hurler surrendered five hits and seven runs (three earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Layton S started on the bump for WF Blue. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking one.

Mason Spainhour and Corbin Markland each collected one hit for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-3-Grey.

WF Blue collected 10 hits in the game. P drove the middle of the lineup, leading WF Blue with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Strong Showing From Both Offenses In Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange Loss To Mocksville

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange fell to Mocksville 16-12 at 101 W Ninth Ave on Wednesday. Mocksville collected 14 hits, while Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange had eight.

Mocksville got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ridenhour walked, Bryson was struck by a pitch, and Young hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Mocksville extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Dylan Garwood and Bishop.

Mocksville scored six runs on four hits in the top of the fifth inning. Bryson was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Lance Lowder singled, scoring two runs, and Bishop doubled, scoring three runs.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Alex Branch singled, scoring two runs, Braxton Hedrick singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and a passed ball scored one run.

Graylan Craver pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange. The righty surrendered eight hits and seven runs while, striking out one and walking two. Eli Gaston led things off on the bump for Post 8 Junior Hawgs-2-Orange. The righty gave up two hits and three runs (one earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Despite leading by as many as five runs, Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black fell to WF Blue Post 522 6-5 on Wednesday at West Forsyth High School.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black lost despite out-hitting WF Blue Post 522 seven to four. Zachary Baker led Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black with two hits.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew McGill singled down the left field line, Sawyer Spell singled down the left field line, and Nolan Thurmond walked, each scoring one run.

Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black scored on a passed ball, and Thurmond singled to center field, each scoring one run.

WF Blue Post 522 jumped into the lead in the bottom of the fifth when McGuire singled, scoring one run, Will drew a walk, scoring one run, and two runs scored on another play.

Noah earned the win for WF Blue Post 522. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking none. Brady Hubbard took the loss for Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black. The starting pitcher went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out two and walking five. Jayden stepped on the bump first for WF Blue Post 522. The starter surrendered six hits and five runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking four.

Thurmond, the number eight hitter for Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black, led the way with two runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Gaven Curry stole two bases. Post 8 Junior Hawgs 1-Black turned one double play in the game.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs had trouble keeping up with HP Hitoms Post 87 in an 11-4 loss on Tuesday at Finch Field.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs opened the scoring in the first after Hank Gaston hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

HP Hitoms Post 87 jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when a wild pitch scored two runs, and Peyton Williams singled, scoring one run.

A sacrifice fly by Natheal Lorzack extended the HP Hitoms Post 87 lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

HP Hitoms Post 87 scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to left field by Traveal Barnes.

HP Hitoms Post 87 scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Nick Salas singled, scoring two runs, B Durham doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and K Manness singled, scoring one run.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs scored one run in the top of the seventh on a solo home run to right field by Charlie Beck.

Williams earned the win for HP Hitoms Post 87. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. Caleb Butcher pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Post 8 Senior Hawgs. The reliever surrendered seven hits and six runs while, striking out two and walking two. Aiden Murphy took the loss for Post 8 Senior Hawgs. The starter went one-third of an inning, giving up three runs (zero earned) on zero hits, striking out one and walking two.

Beck, Gaston, Kason Curry, and Austin Dally each drove in one run for Post 8 Senior Hawgs. Dally went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Post 8 Senior Hawgs in hits.

Davidson (P8) Junior Choppers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Rhodes on an 0-2 count that drove in two.

Charlie Beck hit two home runs and drove in four as Post 8 Senior Hawgs defeated Hamlet Post 49 Sr 11-7 on Monday at Hamlet Park. Beck homered in the sixth and third innings.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs came back to win despite trailing 6-2 in the fifth.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs were the first to get on the board in the second when Cooper Young doubled, scoring one run.

Noah Stubbs grounded out, which helped Hamlet Post 49 Sr tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.

Post 8 Senior Hawgs took the lead in the top of the third. Beck hit a solo home run to right field, to give Post 8 Senior Hawgs the edge, 2-1.

Hamlet Post 49 Sr flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Caden Nolan that drove in three.
