There’s nothing like the moment you’re holding the massive horns of a big old Kudu bull!

It’s heavy, it’s real, and it hits different.

You can’t really explain it, but it shows up on your face every single time. That grin, the disbelief, the quiet respect all at once.

For me, the best part isn’t just the hunt itself. It’s watching clients have this exact moment. Seeing them enjoy the hunt, appreciate the animal, and walk away with a story that sticks.

That’s why I hunt!

Who else has had that feeling? If not, book your hunt for 2027 with us.

Hunting with HTK Safaris isn’t just about the trophy!

The real flex? Is the times in between.

Whether you’re out with your spouse, your kids, or friends you’ve hunted with for years — we slow down for the moments that matter. A moment by the fire. A quiet chat after the stalk. Talking through how it went down, laughing about what didn’t, and just taking it all in.

Because hunting is about more than the shot.
It’s about the camaraderie. The stories. The moments you remember long after the trophy is on the wall.

That’s what we’re here for!

📩 DM us if you want to experience it for yourself.

Free-Range Kudu Hunting in the Kalahari!

Another heavy bull down and another happy client as we near the end of the Kudu Rut!

Late April and early May are peak time here — the bush is alive, the bulls are still moving, and the Kalahari shows why it produces some of Africa’s best kudu. We’re talking wide, heavy genetics, grown wild on free-range ground. No fences, no guarantees, just a proper hunt the way it’s meant to be.

If you’ve been wanting a true free-range kudu hunt, we have one spot left for the 2027 rut!

Send us an email to secure it before it’s gone.

While most guests only see the tracks and stories we bring back to camp, the real magic happens long before sunrise and long after sunset!

A special shout out to our HTK Safari Camp trackers — the guys who read the desert like a book.

They’re out before first light, spotting the smallest hoof print in the red sand, picking up a Buffalo's trail from 12 hours ago, and knowing exactly where the Gemsbok will be when the sun hits. No GPS, no shortcuts. Just decades of knowledge passed down, sharp eyes, and a deep respect for this land.

But it’s not just their skill that sets them apart. It’s the way they treat every guest.

Whether it’s a first-time visitor nervous on a bush walk or a regular back for their 5th Safari, they meet everyone with a friendly face, patience, and real respect. They take the time to explain, to answer questions, and to make sure every client feels safe, valued, and part of the experience — not just an observer.

Because of them:
- Guests walk away with sightings they’ll talk about for years.
- Every walk is safe, every stalk is respectful, every story is real.
- Every client feels welcomed and looked after from start to finish.
- And the camp runs smoothly behind the scenes.

These guys don’t post for likes. They don’t need to. The land speaks for them.

If you’ve ever had an unforgettable moment at any Safari camp, chances are it started with a tracker reading the sand at 5am and greeting you with a smile.

We’re lucky to have the best in the business. Thanks for everything you do, gents. You’re the backbone of HTK Safaris.

Less than 2 months to go!!

Chef Luke returns to the Kalahari to continue his bowhunting quest at our 2nd Annual Catch & Cook event this July.

He’s already taken a solid line-up of plains game over his last 3 trips — now he’s after the exotics to tick off the list.

🎥 Teaser: Watch his last-day, last-hour Impala from the previous hunt.

If you would like to join me and Chef Luke for the 3rd Annual Catch & Cook in 2027!

It’s an unforgettable mix of hunting, wild food, game meat, wine and good company. It's more than a hunt — it’s a foodie adventure you won’t find anywhere else.

The past two weeks brought cold, rainy days to the Kalahari!

We’re incredibly grateful. After a blessed rainy season, every drop we get now is a bonus — and exactly what the Kalahari need heading into the winter.

Right now, the Kalahari is paradise. We can only be thankful.

Throwback to our first hunt of the season!

A Kalahari sunset, a sundowner in hand, good people around you... suddenly the day-to-day fades away. No stress. Just calm and peaceful!

That’s the best medicine there is, especially with everything going on in the world lately.

Join us in 2027 and feel it for yourself!

One of the rarer species our client took last week was a Red Hartebeest. I know they’re not everyone’s favorite to look at, but to me they’re pure Kalahari – an icon against those red dunes of the Kalahari. They’re also a proper challenge to hunt.

This bull was no different. We put in the work together, patiently closing the distance bit by bit until our hunter earned a good shot. A true and authentic walk-and-stalk hunt!

That’s what it’s all about!
