"Boxing is a kind of magic. It gives discipline to the wild. strength to the weak and confidence to the shy." - Wladimir Klitchsko

Enrolling your kid(s) in boxing is one of the most magical things you can do for them. Throughout their journey in the gym they will learn to love themselves and believe in themselves in ways there never thought possible. πŸ™πŸΎ

Our kids class is held Tues-Thurs from 430pm-530pm.
Ages 6-12yrs.
All classes are non-contact and are held year round.
We teach them that hard work is easy work and instill the values of a champion in the process. πŸ’ͺ🏽

The Twins are off and out!!!πŸ™πŸΎ

Coaches Kingston and Walker have spent their last 2 years with us and are now both headed to college! They coached beginner boxers of all shapes and sizes during their time at K.O. They brought great attitudes, hard work, humor, and kept a perfect GPA in the process!! πŸ’ͺ🏽

Although genetically extremely identical, they were completely different boxers! It was cool to see how they used their skills in their own way. Kingston was more of a pure boxer and preferred to fight on the outside. Walker preferred to get on the inside and use his hooks and uppercuts! πŸ§«πŸ”¬

To say that they will be missed is an understatement. We were glad we got to share all the time with them that we did. Between them leaving and recently Coach Kolbi as well, our Tues/Thurs beginners class will have new faces for coaches! 🫑

Be sure to wish the twins the best as they move forward with their new endeavors! Coach Walker heads to Washburn and Coach Kingston to KU. Keep fighting out there fellas! The K.O. Family will miss you both. πŸ₯²

Another Saturday and another successful day of sparring!! πŸ§«πŸ”¬

JB Boxing from Topeka and Spartan Boxing from Emporia were both in the gym for some solid rounds!! πŸ’ͺ🏽

Gyms making gyms better. We train separately but we test ourselves together. No bad blood, no negativity, strictly boxers with the goal of improving their skillset. Hard rounds are never personal, it's iron sharpening iron. Intense rounds. Intense improvements. πŸ’―

Sparring with Spartan Boxing Club today! Solid rounds for everyone. 🫑

Sparring is earned through consistency in the gym. A sword is put in the fire by a blacksmith to be reshaped and hammered into a stronger weapon. The process is difficult one both for the blacksmith and the boxer being reshaped. It never gets easier but they just get better at going through it. βš”οΈ

Sparring is a different journey for everyone. Some are learning how to spar while others are working specific things in sparring. No matter the destination each boxer must always go through these reshaping experiences to develop into a sharp fighter. πŸ§«πŸ”¬

Last week Team K.O boxers Isiah & Kimberly participated in 'Camp Impact' leading boxing classes for the participants! They ranged from 1st graders to 5th graders. Kim & Isiah have shown great leadership skills and we know that's a skillset that will benefit them outside the ring. Future champions!! πŸ’ͺ🏽

We also had the pleasure of hosting Salina Boxing club for sparring. We got some quality rounds in. Iron sharpens iron. We appreciate them for coming down and are looking forward to the next time. βš”οΈ

RIP Little Champ. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’™βœοΈπŸ•Š

Today has been emotionally draining for Junction City Boxing Brigade Family. One of fellow teammates, Logan Toneys, lost his son, Axel (4 y/o), due to an unfortunate situation. After 18 hours of search and rescue operations by law enforcement, partner organizations, and volunteers, Axel was found on June 6th around mid-day and transported by EMS to Stormant Vail in Junction City, KS where he was pronounced deceased. Axel was an amazing little guy that alway brought the best out of those around him. He will always live in our hearts and memories! Our team is resilient and strong. We will lean on one another and be the constant for Logan and his family during his time of need. Please keep Logan and his family in your prayers during his time of need.
