The Midland High School Athletic Booster Club is an organization that provides support to all MHSAA-sanctioned athletic teams at Midland High School.

The Midland High Athletic Booster Club is dedicated to the support of those interscholastic athletics at MHS that are under oversight of the MHS Athletic Office. Any adult who would like to get involved with the athletics program at Midland High is welcome to join the MHS ABC. Our goal is to support our athletic teams financially which helps maintain the tradition of excellence in athletics at Mid

SPORTS ACTION

Boys Track: πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ
The boys track team competed at the MHSAA State Finals this past Saturday at Rockford High School.

Eamon Murray, Aiden Honson & Quincy Richards competed well in their events, finishing the season as State Finalists. Congratulations on a great season!!

Congratulations to the following athletes who earned All-State honors by finishing in the Top 8 in their event...

*LJ Gallihugh - 8th Place - 200m Dash in a time of 22.07
*Gabe Newkirk - 6th Place - Discus with a throw of 157' 3
*Cameron Cochran - 8th Place - 800m Run with a time of 1:55.66
*Logan Bellinger, Logan Gessford, Andrew Worlsey and Cameron Cochran - 3200m Relay - 7th place with a time of 7:54.96

The track team banquet is tonight at 6:00pm in the Media Center. Please bring in any uniforms you have not turned in yet.

Baseball: ⚾️

On Saturday, your Chemic baseball team made an exciting run at the title, defeating Mt. Pleasant 2–1 in thrilling fashion before falling to a tough Bay City Western team, 6–0.

The Chemics were led offensively by Madden Shepardson, Gibbs Blalock, Aydin VanEver, and Taber Benner, who each recorded one hit on the day.

Jacoby Lind picked up the win in Game 1, pitching seven strong innings while allowing just one run on three hits and striking out five.

In Game 2, Aydin VanEver battled through six innings, allowing three earned runs while striking out five in the loss.

The coaching staff would also like to take a moment to thank all of the players for their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice throughout the season.

Varsity Baseball: ⚾️

The Chemic Varsity Baseball team earned a pair of impressive wins over Lapeer last night, defeating the Lightning 12-2 and 11-1.

Leading the way offensively for the Chemics was Taber Benner, who collected three hits including a double and a triple while driving in four runs. Wilson Kloha and Gordy Freed each added three hits including a double, while Gabe Hoppenjan had a huge night at the plate with three hits and six RBIs.

On the mound, Jacoby Lind earned the win in game one, throwing six innings while allowing seven hits and striking out five. In game two, Aydin VanEver picked up the victory after tossing four innings, allowing just three hits and striking out three.

The Chemics return to action Friday as they take on Central Montcalm at 2:00 PM.

Softball: πŸ₯Ž

The Chemic softball team dropped a doubleheader to Shepherd last night. The team will host Grand Blanc tonight in the Saginaw Valley League Championship game. First pitch 4 PM

JV Golf: ⛳️

The JV golfers placed second to Dow in a quad match at Currie yesterday and defeated Mt. Pleasant and Heritage. Medalist for Midland was Harrison Worsley with 45 followed by Jacob Sanders with 47, Nolan Galloway and Henry Waskevich each shot 49. Also playing in the match were Eohan Murray and Kane Leibfritz. The JV Chemics play their last match of the season at Sandy Ridge on Thursday in a tournament in which all team members will play.

Varsity Golf: ⛳️

The Midland High Golf Team shot 309 at The Fortress in Frankenmuth Wednesday, which was 12 shots out of first place. Our team was anchored by Landon Bartlett who shot an outstanding 69, which was 3 under par. In addition, Landon averaged 72.5 for the season earning him 1st Team, which was 3rd overall in the SVL. Evan Wenzell earned 2nd Team in the SVL. Both of those guys are playing outstanding golf, and the entire team competes day in and day out. Give those guys some love in the hallways!
