Freshman Volleyball- 🏐 The MHS Freshmen Volleyball team defeated the Bay City Central Wolves 3-0 last night. The Chemics fought back in set 1 winning 25-16. We took charge in set 2 winning 25-16 and rounded out the night with a 15-9 victory is set 3. The team’s next match is Saturday in Grand Blanc. The Chemics are 5-1 in the season, 1-0 in the SVL.

JV Volleyball- 🏐 JV volleyball defeated Bay City Central on Thursday night, 3-0. Midland started off strong winning set 1, 25-11. The Chemics continued their strong play, winning set 2, 25-12 and rounded out the night with a 15-5 set 3 victory. Midland’s next match is Saturday at Mt. Pleasant. The Chemics are now 8-4, 1-0 SVL

Varsity Volleyball- 🏐 Midland Girls Varsity volleyball beat the Wolves of Bay City Central at home on Thursday night September 10. The Chemics came out slow losing game 1, 21-25. Then Midland bounced back strong winning game 2, 25-20 and continued their strong play winning game 3, 25-19. And the Chemics completed the win, 25-14 in game 4. Midland's next matches are away at the Flushing tournament on Saturday, Sept. 12 . And will be back at home vs. Bay City Western for Senior Night next Thursday, Sept. 17. The Chemics are now 8-4-2, 1-0 SVL

Girls Swim- 🏊‍♀️ Last night in a double dual meet, your Midland Chemic girls swim and dive team defeated Bay City Western (111-64) and were defeated by Grand Blanc (123-59). Scoring top 3 in their races were Mary Riddle, Maddie Huschke, Lainey Ringgold, Lyra Empie, Adalyn Nordstrom, Xinray Lee, Natasha Kuchnicki, Leighton Heinz, Elise Pool, and Rudy Collins. MVPs of the meet go to Xinying Lee and Maya Gavin! Great swims, Chemics!

JV Girls Golf- ⛳️ The JV Chemic Girls Golf team competed in their 3rd SVL Match of the season yesterday at Currie Golf Course against Bay City Western. The Chemic Golfers dropped the match in a close one 211-230. Playing in this event were Taylor Gillis, Ella Diegel, Lily Mushlock, Madison Saverese, Adelyn Konopa, and Rhannon Rich. shooting season and personal bests were: Mushlock, Saverese, Diegel, and Rich. The chemics return to the course Tuesday at the Swartz creek golf club against Powers Catholic.


Varsity Girls Golf- ⛳️ The Varsity golfers shot their best team score of the season at the Saginaw County Club yesterday and finished 6th of 12 teams in their 3rd SVL tournament. Grace Pilgrim was team medalist and placed 14th out of the 60 golfers participating. Paige Roller shot her personal best of the season and her career as did Charlee McPeak. Also playing in the match were Brooke Leonard-Schmitzer and Brielle Dominowski.

Varsity Girls Volleyball Compete at the Charger/Chemic Challenge Saturday August 29

The Varsity girls Volleyball team competed, going 1-1-2 at the first Charger/Chemic Challenge co-hosted at HH Dow High Gyms with 11 teams on Saturday August 29. In pool play, Midland beat Birch Run winning 25-13, 25-23; then they split with Sault Ste. Marie, 24-26, 25-18 and then split with Roscommon 13-25, 25-20. Midland was seeded #5 and faced #4 seed Roscommon again in the Gold bracket.
In the gold bracket first quarterfinal match, Midland lost to Roscommon 23-25, 25-17, 8-15.
The Varsity season record is now 6-2-2.
