Follow along for Nolan’s story. 🩵 TRIGGER WARNING: drowning
This summer, while visiting his grandparents in Florida, 2 year old Nolan had been swimming in the pool with his puddle jumper. When the family got out of the pool, Nolan made his way back to the water unnoticed- without no puddle jumper.
Within one minute, his big brother found him unresponsive in the pool and pulled his little brother’s lifeless body from the water.
Nolan’s mom immediately began CPR. After a hospital stay, this sweet boy made a full recovery and now he’s learning the skills to help him survive if he ever reaches the water alone again.
This video is after just FOUR ISR lessons.
On day one, Nolan entered the water completely vertical, eyes wide open, with no ability to position his body to move through the water.
Today, you’re watching him put his face in, bring his body horizontal to the surface, and swim forward to reach my hands. 🩵
Getting kiddos out of that vertical posture and swimming horizontally at the surface is a critical first step, and this is only the beginning of Nolan’s swim-float-swim and ISR Self Rescue® journey with a Certified ISR Instructor.
