May is National Water Safety Month 🤍 💦
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4.
It’s fast. It’s silent. And it’s preventable.
Water safety is not just swim lessons… it’s LAYERS of protection…. If one layer fails, another is there.
Self-rescue skills 🏊♀️ &
CPR ❤️
Pool fencing 🚧
Alarms 🚨
Supervision 👀
As parents, we can’t control everything… but we CAN put layers in place to protect our kids.
ISR is one layer… but it’s the layer that gives your child a chance if they ever reach the water alone! Don’t just teach your child to swim… sign them up for self-rescue swim lessons. Swimming AND floating is KEY to their safety!

There’s a different kind of peace that comes with having two kiddos who truly know what they’re doing in the water. When you’re spending time at your own pool or with family and friends, that confidence and skill changes everything! It allows you to actually enjoy those moments together 🫶Unless you have a newborn baby… your kiddo should be INDEPENDENT in the water with ❌ no floaties ❌

2 spots left before my waitlist begins to have lessons in August!
This session starts June 22 in Wright Farms in Mt juliet.

Recently, I’ve received emails from parents sharing that their child isn’t progressing in traditional swim lessons. I had one parent even ask me, “Is my three-year-old too young to learn to swim independently?”
The short answer? No.
Every child develops at their own pace. Readiness is neurological. Confidence is developmental. And fear phases can be completely normal when learning a new skill.
But here’s what I’ve seen over and over again: the more consistent, intentional time a child spends in the water (especially starting young) the more natural independence becomes.
📢 At 22 months, this level of skill isn’t about being “advanced.” It’s about exposure, repetition, and a foundation built early. ‼️
Children don’t need to wait until they’re older to learn to save themselves. They need the right method, the right environment, and instruction designed around how their brains and bodies actually develop.
