It’s more than swim lessons 💙
It’s confidence. It’s belonging. It’s a place where every swimmer is seen for who they are. And a skill they’ll carry for life.
That’s what it means to be part of Nashville Dolphins. 🐬
Nashville Dolphins
The Nashville Dolphins is an aquatics program for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Programs are free to all thanks to community support!
It is the Nashville Dolphins' mission to combat the alarming statistics of drowning deaths in children and adults with special needs. We provide FREE, lifelong, water safety and comprehensive adaptive aquatic programming for the special needs' community. Our participants are empowered to experience the joy and pride of being a lifetime member of the Nashville Dolphins team at no cost. We strive to
We’re so proud of our Nashville Dolphins Swim Team for competing in the Special Olympics Tennessee State Games Swim Meet! 🐬💙
20 athletes represented the Dolphins at State Games this year, and we couldn’t be prouder. We loved getting to celebrate not only their accomplishments in the pool, but also the confidence, joy, and community that make this team so special.
Huge thank you to our amazing volunteers — Pam, Jenny, Laura, Ian, and John — for helping make the weekend possible. Go Dolphins! 🏊✨

Please join us in welcoming Rekell, our new Operations Coordinator, to the Nashville Dolphins team! 💙🐬
With a background in nonprofit administration and communications, Rekell is passionate about supporting mission-driven work and strengthening connection within the community. We’re so happy to have her with us!
We’re so honored to have been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Helper Grant from the Nashville Predators Foundation! 💛💙
This year, the Foundation is awarding more than $855,000 to organizations making an impact across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, and we’re incredibly grateful to be included alongside so many amazing nonprofits doing meaningful work in our community.
Support from this grant will help provide opportunities for our swim team athletes to compete in several intrasquad meets throughout the remainder of 2026 — creating more chances for growth, confidence-building, teamwork, and unforgettable memories in the pool.
Thank you to the Nashville Predators Foundation for helping us continue making waves in the Nashville community. 🐬

We are so proud to celebrate Caroline for receiving the Mary Catherine Schweiss Strobel Award at St. Cecilia Academy 💙
This award honors students who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to service in both school and the community, and Caroline is so deserving of this recognition. From volunteering with the Nashville Dolphins Swim Team to teaching tennis to children on the autism spectrum through Love Serving Autism, Caroline continues to make such a meaningful impact on those around her.
We are also incredibly grateful to the Strobel family for making a donation to Nashville Dolphins in honor of Caroline and her volunteer work with our organization.
We can’t wait to have Caroline back at the pool this summer! 🐬✨

We’re celebrating Hailey and her incredible impact with the Nashville Dolphins 💙
Over the past three years, Hailey — our youngest Lead Instructor — has brought so much kindness, energy, and dedication to our swimmers, families, and team. She has made such a lasting impact on our programs both in and out of the water.
As she graduates from high school and heads off to college to pursue a degree in exercise science, we couldn’t be more proud of her and all she’s accomplished. Hailey, you will truly be missed, and you’ll always be part of the Dolphins family! 🐬

A special sendoff for Kenzie 💙
Our Little Phins class celebrated Kenzie’s last day as our Capstone Intern, and we are so grateful for the care, energy, and heart she has brought to our swimmers and families this semester.
Throughout her internship, Kenzie supported our Little Phins curriculum, created a water safety card resource, and spent countless hours building relationships with our swimmers both in and out of the pool.
She recently graduated from Belmont University, earning her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Congratulations to Dr. Kenzie Hendley, OTD — we are so proud of you!
(And lucky for us… she’ll still be spending the summer with us 🐬)
Parents of children with disabilities hear “no” far too often.
