Steel United Massachusetts will be hosting supplemental tryouts on Thursday, June 18 at Olin College.

🕔 U9-U12: 5:00pm-6:00pm
🕕 U13+: 6:00pm-7:00pm
✅ Boys & Girls
✅ All levels welcome
✅ Returning, new, and former players encouraged to attend
🥅 Goalkeepers needed across all age groups

We continue to have openings on a number of teams and may expand existing rosters or add additional teams based on player interest.

After two tough losses earlier in the day, the 2016G group went into the final game with a new definition of success: score a goal (they scored two!), beat a player 1v1, connect five passes, play brave, and enjoy the moment. Without pressure, the girls played with incredible energy, confidence, and freedom.

This photo captures exactly what youth soccer should be about: resilience, joy, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game. So proud of this group and the spirit they showed all weekend. ⚽️🙌

The 2011B Elite group battled their way to becoming 2026 Steel United JS Legacy Cup Champions, showing quality, grit, and togetherness from start to finish. The football they played this weekend was outstanding, but even more impressive was the way they competed for each other every single game.

A brilliant way to close out the tournament season. Proud of this team and everything they continue to become. 💗🏆

Today wasn’t just about results. After two years of 7v7 soccer and in their last day playing this format before they move up to 9v9 next season, so many of the things this group has been learning finally started to click. The bravery on the ball, the teamwork, the effort for each other, and the willingness to play the right way were there for everyone to see all day long.

The boys played their hearts out at the JS Legacy Cup and should be incredibly proud of themselves. They represented Steel United with class, energy, and togetherness from the first whistle to the last.

Proud of every single one of them. The future is bright. ⚽️🩷🖤

Huge congratulations to Coaches Steven Ortiz and Leo Ortiz on successfully earning their USSF D Licenses! 👏⚽️

Both coaches have shown a tremendous commitment to their development, their players, and the game itself throughout their respective journeys.

Steven continues to be an outstanding leader within our club, and we’re thrilled he’ll remain with us for 2026/27. His passion for coaching and growth is evident every day, and we truly believe the sky is the limit for his future in the game.

Leo may be moving on at the end of the season, but we’re incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed to Steel United MA. We’re proud to have played a part in his coaching journey and excited to see where the next chapter takes him.
