Dear Down East Dance Family,
It is with profound and heartbreaking sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our own dancers, Calli Toler. Calli was a bright, joyful presence in our studio—her smile, her kindness, and her love for dance touched everyone around her. Calli was not only one of our dance family members, but cousin to our own Ms. Erica. Losing someone so young and full of light is a tragedy that weighs heavily on all of us.
As we grieve together, we also want to honor Calli in a way that reflects the joy she brought to our studio. We encourage our dancers & their families to wear something bright, sparkly, or simply something that makes them feel connected to her spirit- full of light, love & fun and spread joy- just as she did in both our studio and on stage.
Our dance community has always shown incredible strength and compassion, and we know many of you will want to lift this family up in love.
