It’s time to kick off another cultural season, and what better way to do it than at Culture Collision? WWNO is partnering with LSU New Orleans for our 16th annual event on September 2nd.

WHAT: Culture Collision 16

WHEN: Wednesday, September 2nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: LSU New Orleans University Center, 2000 Lakeshore Drive, New Orleans, LA 70148

COST TO PARTICIPATE:

Regular registration: July 1, 2026 - August 28, 2026
$75 for all organizations

The deadline to reserve a table is August 28, 2026

RESERVE MY TABLE

PERFORMANCES: Several organizations will be invited to present short performances during Culture Collision. Performances will be selected by the event organizers. If you are interested in submitting a performance for consideration, please complete that portion of the table reservation form by July 31, 2026. Performance selection will be announced by August 7th.

RAFFLE: There will not be a Culture Collision raffle this year. We encourage each of you to do a raffle or giveaway at your own table. This a great way to get people to learn about your organization!

We are so psyched that MOEJOE is back as our Emcee this year at Culture Collision, being held this Wednesday August 28 inside Jefferson Performing Arts Center from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public!

Experience over 55 local arts and culture organizations showing off their seasons and schedules! Meet, mingle, enter giveaways, and watch pop up performances! Enjoy food and drink indoors and outside with three food trucks!

In addition to her awesome emcee work, MoeJoe has a few surprises in store for us this year, including a community line dance for all Culture Collision attendees to step in and step up for!

Marissa “MoeJoe,” Joseph is a New Iberia, Louisiana native who labels herself and dance style as Creole-Afro, specializing in the areas of folk and street dance. She is a performer, teacher, speaker, owner of The MoeJoe Gallery founded in New Orleans, creator of Bounce Fitness w/MoeJoe and fearless dance team leader for Mardi Gras group, Krewe of King James. Her movements and class experiences celebrate the joy and grit of southern dance culture.
