There comes a moment when even the strongest women realize they cannot keep pouring from an empty cup. The constant demands. The pressure to perform. The endless responsibility of leading, managing, producing, caring for everyone else.
If you have been craving space to breathe, rest, and reconnect with yourself, this invitation is for you.
Join us for a Womenโs Wellness Weekend Retreat at Ebb and Flow Retreats on the peaceful waters of Eld Inlet. This retreat is designed for women navigating full lives who need a few intentional days away to slow down, reset, and gain a new perspective. Sometimes, simply stepping away for a few days allows clarity to emerge in ways that are impossible when we are constantly โon.โ
This is more than a retreat. It is a space to exhale. A space to be supported by community. A space to connect with other women who understand the weight of their responsibility โ and who are also seeking balance, renewal, and authenticity.
Come rest by the water. Watch the tides shift. Reconnect with your inner wisdom. Return home renewed.

Iโm filled with a deep sense of gratitude for this special place.
The past few weeks at Ebb and Flow have been fullโhands in the soil, tending the yard and the house, preparing for the retreats ahead in May.
The driveway is in the midst of transformation too, with the old being cleared away to make space for something new. And this morning, the studio was full for classโsuch a gift. Itโs an honor to hold space for practice here.
Afterward, I wandered through the yard, taking in the burst of spring growthโthe warmth in the air, the birds moving across the water, the quiet beauty of the day unfolding. So beautiful and peaceful.
May you find peace and beauty in your day!!

How do you challenge yourself in your yoga practice?
Arm balances are playful, humbling, and incredibly rewarding. They ask for strength, coordination, focus, and trustโbut often the biggest challenge isnโt physical, itโs mental. So much of the practice is learning to move through fear and believe in whatโs possible.
I still canโt balance in Crow Pose consistently for example, but I try in every practice!. And maybe thatโs the real victory: showing up, being willing to fall, and trying again.

Here's a few of my favorite arm balances!

Lightening the Loadโฆ
Most of us know the feeling of heaviness. It shows up when weโre working through a problem, navigating a hard conversation, or holding something unresolved. It can sit in the body, press on the chest, and make it feel hard to breathe.
Today, I feel lighter.
At the edge of the retreat property, right by the water, stands a very old maple treeโtechnically our neighborโs. I watched over the last few years as the ivy had taken over, doubling in mass and wrapping itself tightly around the trunk and four main branches. The base of the tree is over six feet wide, and it was slowly being strangled.
With our neighborโs blessing, we brought in a tree service to carefully remove the ivy and clear away dead limbs. More than 2,500 pounds of ivy were hauled away.
Each day, as the work unfolded, I felt something in me begin to lift too.
I imagine that grandmother tree exhalingโfinally freed from the weight, able to breathe again.
And in witnessing her release, I feel my own. ๐๐ณ๐งโโ๏ธ๐ฟ

Happy International Womenโs Day! ๐ธ
This yearโs theme, โGive to Gain,โ highlights the power of reciprocity, generosity, and lifting one another up. When we support the women around us, we all grow stronger.
Looking for simple ways to celebrate today?
โข Express gratitude for the women who inspire and support you.
โข Give a small token of appreciation or write a heartfelt note.
โข Pick up the phone, send a message, or make plans to spend time with your girlfriends.
Research shows that spending time with close friends is essential for both our physical and emotional well-being. Social connection boosts happiness, increases positivity, helps manage stress, and brings a sense of calm.
Today is a beautiful reminder: when we show up for each other, we all gain. ๐

Over the past year and more, Iโve been diving deeper into the study of the subtle body, vibrational energy, and sound healing. What began as simple curiosity has unfolded into something far more intimate โ a remembering, a returning, a deepening trust in my own energetic awareness.
Yesterday, I spent the day at the beautiful Seattle Sound Temple, immersed in learning about energy dowsing alongside a circle of curious, open-hearted beings. We opened in ceremony, each selecting a card from the Sacred Destiny oracle deck by Denise Linn. Rather than turning to the guidebook for interpretation, we were invited to turn inward โ to sit quietly and feel what the image and word awakened within us.
I drew the ๐๐จ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ card โ a luminous image of humpback whales over moonlit waters.
The word voyage landed instantly. I felt it in my body as journey. My journey. The path Iโve been walking โ studying, sensing, softening, and learning to trust more deeply the quiet intelligence of my own energetic body.
Later in the day, as part of practicing the techniques we were learning, we were invited to choose a different deck and to select another card. The deck I was drawn to was The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit deck by Kim Krans (a very favorite of mine). Using the methods we had been learning, I pulled my card.
๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐.
Another humpback.
It was one of those deliciously โwoo-wooโ moments that makes you pause and laugh in awe. In the Animal Spirit deck, Whale appears when there is a call to dive deeper โ a symbol of peace, depth, and ancient wisdom. A reminder of the vast inner ocean (our energetic bodies) that holds memory, intuition, and knowing far beyond the surface mind.
The concept of synchronicity โ a โmeaningful coincidenceโ introduced by psychologist Carl Jung โ describes moments when seemingly unrelated events align in ways that hold deep personal meaning.
And there it was.
A day devoted to sensing subtle energy.
A Voyage card crowned by whales in moonlight.
A second deck revealing a Whale once again โ guardian of depth and resonance.
Not random. Not accidental.
Just a quiet affirmation โ a gentle wink from the universe โ reminding me that the voyage continues, and that I am exactly where I am meant to be.
