Massive congratulations to my client Mario on a 40 pound PR. His goal originally was to simply squat 315. Why that’s such a common goal I don’t know, but he stuck with the program and scheduled deloads when needed. I’m super proud to witness him squat 405 this week, and I cannot wait to see him smash his next goal.

My reaction pretty much the whole session. 🤦🏾♂️
Although grateful, having long femurs truly discourages you when it comes to squatting. To some it comes easy, to some not so quite. One thing I won’t do, is simply give up. My goal isn’t to squat a specific number, but to continuously progress and stay healthy.
There’s nothing more functional than the loaded carry. Have you ever experienced carrying a ton of grocery bags, having to take a p**s, and you forget your keys in the car? This is for you.
Perfectly executed reverse lunges by my client Brian. If you’re looking to develop strong quads, glutes and hamstrings, I suggest put a little more focus on simple compound movements. ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

When we’re in our 30s we begin to suffer muscle loss (sarcopenia) from being sedentary. Typically anywhere between 3-7 pounds every decade. The benefits to strength training are endless. Weight loss, healthy bone mass, retaining muscle and so on. Whether you’re at home, at the gym, or even at work. Stay active and make strength (resistance) training a priority.

A little conditioning after a great vacation. Going to be doing a lot more rope jumping and sprints this summer.
Incredible but bitter sweet session today. my longest lasting client, is getting ready to leave for New York. I’m praying she gets fired on her first day and comes back to Cali lol. Just kidding. I’m hoping all works well and you dominate like you always do. 💪🏾
