Week 665 of coaching adults at CrossFit Zanshin and I am not even remotely tired. A true sign as coaches we really love what we do!
Week 665.
We are wrapping up our 665th week of helping people just like you build consistency in the gym, and the energy inside CrossFit Zanshin is still as strong as it was in week one.
If youâve struggled to stay consistent with exercise, maybe you just havenât found the right environment yet.
Most of our members train three to four times each weekânot because they have more motivation than everyone else, but because theyâve found a community that makes showing up easier.
Fitness isnât about being perfect. Itâs about finding a place that makes you want to come back tomorrow.
Could CrossFit Zanshin be that place for you?

Details coming soon.

You can take Coach Pete out of the gym, (maybe) but you canât take the gym out of his suitcase. đ đ§ł
Knee sleeves, grips, tape, jump ropes, gloves, wipes, orange peeler, coffee beans, hydration sticks from 1989, and probably three things the rest of us forgot we even owned. At this point, that suitcase has earned its own CrossFit Zanshin membership. đ¤ŁđŞ IYKYK

Video captures everything
Today, Walker, a 19-year-old college quarterback preparing to report for football camp, and Bobbie, a 79-year-old grandmother courageously battling cancer, warmed up side by side before class.
On the surface, they couldnât be more different. Different ages, different goals, and different challenges. Yet both will receive exactly what they need today because our coaching staff understands that fitness is never one-size-fits-all.
Many people think we simply provide workouts. Thatâs not actually what we do.
You hire us to prescribe the right amount of exercise for your body, your schedule, and your goals. Just as a doctor adjusts medication based on the patient, we adjust movement based on the individual.
Too much exercise can be dangerous. Too little wonât create change. Our responsibility is to find the right dose.
As Walker prepares for the demands of college football and Bobbie prepares for another round of chemotherapy, both are facing pivotal moments in their lives.
We are honored that they trust CrossFit Zanshin to walk alongside them on those journeys.
This is bigger than fitness.
This is coaching.
Do it all over again? Absolutely Not!
I wasnât prepared for todayâs workout to hit me the way it did, but thatâs one of the things I love most about CrossFit Zanshin. I just show up, and everything is ready for me. The programming is done, the coaching is there, and for an hour I donât have to think about anything except putting in the work.
What about you? Whatâs your favorite part about coming to CrossFit?

Strength isnât built in the gym alone.
Your body needs protein to rebuild muscle, carbohydrates to fuel performance, and hydration to recover and perform day after day.
Most people donât fail because they arenât working hard enough.
They fail because theyâre trying to build a house without bricks.
This fall, weâre putting together a small nutrition cohort focused on simple habits:
âď¸ Eating enough protein
âď¸ Fueling workouts correctly
âď¸ Improving energy and recovery
âď¸ Building a plan you can actually stick to
No crash diets.
No detoxes.
No starving yourself.
Just real nutrition for real people who want real results.

Coaching cue: Keep your shoulders away from your ears, brace your core, and let your chest move between your hands, not in front of them.
Most people think push-ups are just about chest and arm strength, but your hand position can make a huge difference in the health of your shoulders over time.
â Hands too wide can place extra stress on the front of the shoulder and limit natural movement.
â
Instead, keep your hands roughly shoulder-width apart and think about âscrewingâ your hands into the floor. Your elbows should track at about a 30â45 degree angle from your body, not flared straight out to the sides.
This position allows your shoulders to move more naturally, creates better stability, and reduces unnecessary wear and tear.
Remember: the goal isnât just to do more push-upsâitâs to be able to do push-ups pain-free for decades.
