Royal Marines from the UK Commando Force conduct boarding training during Ex LION PROTECTOR 26 in the Faroe Islands. The exercise is the UK Commando Force's principal Allied Reaction Force Special Operations Maritime Task Group (ARF SOMTG) deployment of 2026 and a major contribution to the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), enhancing interoperability, readiness, and collective security in the strategically important GIUK Gap.
