What’s up Philadelphia! It’s your friends at Keystone. For the first time ever we changed our logo up on Instagram. Same ol Keystone when you see us pop up in your likes or commenting telling you your bike looks cute. Thanks to Jessie Jay X True Hand the GOAT for whipping this up.

We went for a little ride around town with Jessie Jay X True Hand to snap some pics of Zack’s Belmont for an upcoming project with Bassi from Montréal and he captured one of our favorite details about the Belmont in action: the shoulder strap! This thing is so useful and one of the signature features on many Bassi frames, so of course we put one on the Belmont.

Our restock of Belmonts is starting to move and complete bikes should be on the floor this week, so if you’ve been eyeing one reach out ASAP and we can get your fall riding going SMOOTH.

This past winter Anush took our wheelbuilding class and built himself a dynamo wheel for a future Rando bike. After class was over we chatted and the Bassi from Montréal Le Montreal fit the bill! Rim brakes, downtube shifters, dynamo, and eventually a Memento Cycles porteur rack. This bike is built for the long haul (or the short one!). It also features a full Velo Orange kit with cranks, cockpit, rear hub, tape and other bits and bobs (no one does silver like our friends at VO). Also the IRD levers paired to 🄿🄰🅄🄻 ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴏɴᴇɴᴛ ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀɪɴɢ friggen work.

The wait is over, Belmonts are back in stock and available at Keystone! A refresher if you’re not familiar: the Belmont is a collaboration between us and Bassi from Montréal in Montreal. It’s a classically styled bike with modern standards, perfect for light touring, randonneuring, and all your road or gravel adventures. It’s lovely to ride, can carry enough stuff to go on a weekend bike tour, and is designed to accommodate racks, dynamo (full internal routing!), and fenders.

We’ve put out a bunch of fun builds this week we forgot to post on Instagram. Here’s one that was long in the queue that we were stoked to finish. Bassi from Montréal 💞

We’ve been stoked on Untitled Cycles since forever and we’re incredibly grateful to be Jackie’s bike shop. She came in at the start of this build to talk dynamo since this bike would involve some complex routing. The plan was for the bike to be fully integrated with the taillight, so we needed to route the wiring through the head tube into the top tube. Fortunately Jackie’s attention to detail made it a cinch.

As for the rest of the build, we worked with the customer to plan on a reasonable spec for different types of rides and keep the focus on the frame. This Memento Cycles Atlas rack was also a perfect fit for some custom BagBags that will be the next addition to the bike. Excited to see this bike come back with some beausage (and the DT Swiss rim logos removed!)

We teamed up with Untitled Cycles for another build. Absolute art.

Andrew bought a Belmont frame from us a while ago and just sent in these pics of it all built up. Wow! Love the classic randonneur build and the silver and w**e looks perfect. Also scope the newbaums wrapped U lock. Love that. Really nice wheelset Nitto. Just how we would do it!

Belmont restock is due any day now, so reach out if you want one :)
