Riley got this Belmont last year and has done roughly 3000 miles of bikepacking and other rowdy rides. We love the way this one looks in bikepack mode. Riley even got this custom frame bag made with the Belmont logo! Lovely. We put on some fresh newbaums and the color match is awesome.

Frank bought a dyno Belmont last year and was fully converted to the Philly Dyno Headlight Société . He wanted nice lightweight commuter so we built him up this really nice Crust Bikes lightning bolt with all the 🄿🄰🅄🄻 ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴏɴᴇɴᴛ ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀɪɴɢ we could put on there and of course a dynamo. It’s sweet. The Outer Shell bags are a perfect match too.

Maybe it’s Citywide Alleycat inspiring us but we think this weeks theme is single speeds. Here’s a teaser of a really fun single speed rando ish Crust Bikes Lightning Bolt we built for Frank.

Jake hit us up a few months ago to build a 650b single speed dynamo wheelset for a frame they built themselves and we did! Velo Orange rims and 🄿🄰🅄🄻 ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴏɴᴇɴᴛ ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀɪɴɢ rear hub with a White Industries double freewheel. Nice!!!

Last weekend Zack Finch did the Pennsylvania Randonneurs Grand Canyon 200k gravel brevet. This ride was spectacular: 126 miles of brutal climbs, sweeping vistas, Mennonite whoopie pies, and glorious Pennsylvania gravel. This is PA Randos gravel specific brevet and it is worth the trip out to Jersey Shore. This ride is a reminder how awesome randonneuring is and how it can help you push further and see beautiful stuff.

Honjo fender installations are some of the most challenging repairs we see regularly here at the bicycle store. Getting the fender line perfect, vibing with existing accessories, and not scratching the fenders all while drilling mounting holes makes for a tough time in the stand. We’re lucky we get to do it all the time, so we think we’re pretty dang good at it.

Anyway, here’s Meg’s custom Bassi from Montréal Hogs Back we built back in spring. SimWorks USA got some Honjos back in stock in the finish we wanted and they work awesome on this bike! Enjoy, Meg ✨

Drew wanted a bike for world touring, on and off road. Durability and field maintenance is key, so we went with mechanical XTR and Velo Orange Growtac brakes. SON dynamo of course, built to shop favorite AstralCycling Outback rims and paired to a Sinewave Cycles dynamo light. 🄿🄰🅄🄻 ᴄᴏᴍᴘᴏɴᴇɴᴛ ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀɪɴɢ cranks with IRD bb for swag and durability (set up with a spider to achieve Chainline and Shimano 12 speed chain compatibility). The Tumbleweed Bicycle Co. rack works a treat for portage and the Wilde Bicycle Co. Country bars are so comfortable. This bike rips.

Finished up a really nice build this week. This one wouldn’t have been possible without a big help from Garrett in securing the frame. Full build pics to come.
