Xavier Prep vs St. Mary’s (6A Arizona Girls Flag Football Matchup)
Senior wide receiver/defensive back Imani Campbell ( #11) delivered a complete performance in Xavier’s win over St. Mary’s, making her presence felt on both sides of the ball.
(unofficial) Stat Line:
- 2 interceptions
- 1 pass breakup
- 2 solo flag pulls
- 5 receptions, including 2 touchdowns
Campbell opened the game by picking off a pass on St. Mary’s opening drive, immediately setting the tone for the defense. Later in the game, she added another interception, along with a pass breakup and flag pulls that stalled St. Mary’s offensive momentum.
On offense, Campbell’s reliability as a receiver showed throughout the night. She turned short routes into big gains, highlighted by touchdown receptions from 20 and 30 yards out. Her ability to create with the ball in her hands gave Xavier reliable scoring threats throughout the game.
With impact plays on both offense and defense, Campbell proved why she was the clear choice for Player of the Game.

Week 5 – All Eyez on Me – Sept. 25, 2025 Betty H. Fairfax vs Central (5A Varsity Girls Flag Football) The Betty H. Fairfax defense showed why they’re one of the toughest units in 5A flag football. From start to finish, the Stampede played lockdown coverage, forcing three interceptions and never allowing the opponent to reach the end zone.
The secondary flew to the ball, linebackers cut off the short routes, and the defensive line kept the quarterback under pressure. The result? A shutout victory that proved defense really does win games.

Week 5 – Player of the Game – Sept. 25, 2025 Betty H. Fairfax vs Central (5A Varsity Girls Flag Football) Senior quarterback Ashlyn Olson ( #3) commanded the offense with confidence and precision in Fairfax’s win. She showed off excellent footwork, escaped the pocket under pressure, and delivered accurate passes all over the field. Olson consistently dropped dimes to her receivers, keeping the chains moving and spreading the ball to multiple teammates.
Even without the final stat line, what stood out most was her poise — every drive looked composed under her leadership. Olson’s ability to extend plays and keep her eyes downfield made her the heartbeat of Fairfax’s offense and the clear choice for “Player of the Game.”
