Celebrated our final Pilates Certification weekend—and the completion of this amazing group’s intensive training—with delicious cupcakes from 🧁

This wonderful group has now completed 78 hours of weekend intensives with me and officially earned their status as certified Pilates apprentices! Their journey continues with 480 hours of observation, practice teaching, self-practice, and class time before becoming fully certified Pilates teachers.

I’m also thrilled to welcome my dear friend and Pearl District Studio Manager, Elizabeth Stafford, as a teacher trainer for the Pearl Pilates Certification Program. It was so special to have her shadowing and learning alongside me throughout this course. 💗

A full Memorial Day weekend of time with old and new friends, fire sculpture installation (Andy’s cool piece) and trailer prep for summer! - longtime friend and client (is it 22 years??) and I finally connected in Bend for a session and hang, spontaneous downtown stroll and cocktail with (friend and fellow Bend teacher), walk and catchup time with Roo and ali_mac2 , and at home doing some fun projects and prepping for big ones in the works!

We just wrapped up weekend three of our Pearl Pilates certification course — the Cadillac weekend. It’s been such a joy to spend these weekends with such a thoughtful, dedicated group and to watch their confidence and teaching develop. One more to go - the Chair! ☀️

One of the things that makes this training so special is the mix of experience levels learning alongside one another. We have brand new apprentices just beginning their journey, current apprentices returning to observe and deepen their understanding, experienced teachers revisiting the material with fresh eyes, and even teacher trainers in development shadowing the process. Watching this kind of mentorship, curiosity, and support unfold across different stages of teaching experience creates such a rich learning environment for everyone involved.

These four intensive weekends are just the beginning of the certification process. After the intensives, apprentices continue with observation, self-practice, practice teaching, and class hours as they work toward completing 480 apprenticeship hours within two years — all within a supportive community of teachers and studios committed to helping them grow into confident instructors.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mother figures! I’m so thankful and inspired by all of the females of all ages throughout my life, it’s a gift to witness and hold all of the special powers we possess ✨ Just a few pics from a Mother’s Day shoot last year - missing my babes and my moms so much but my heart is full of love and gratitude ❤️

My very good friends of more than 30 years, Carol & Miro, came to stay for the weekend and first sleepover in our new Bend home 🥰 Carol was delivering a beautiful painting that has a lot of meaning to me - I’m so thrilled to have work from both of these talented, mother/daughter artists. We packed a lot in and had so much fun - hiked along the Deschutes, enjoyed the gorgeous view and selection , first Friday downtown, fabulous (as always) dinner , visiting art studio,and just hung out eating, puzzling and reminiscing ❤️

Still coming down from a wonderful four-day weekend of teaching Fundamentals and Mat - the first of four intensives in our Full Studio Certification course ✨

There’s something so powerful about returning to the foundation—where every body, every level, and every journey is welcome.

Grateful for such an engaged, curious, and dedicated group. Watching each of you grow in your understanding and confidence was such a joy.

And extra special to share the experience with my dear friend and studio manager, Elizabeth, as she begins her journey toward becoming a teacher trainer herself 🤍
