Just a fun family Saturday with some hard work!

Reminder for this weekends Butler Sensei visit. Senior and teen only workout is Friday March 6 from 6 to 8 PM. Saturday workout is 10 to 11:30 AM with a black belt ceremony to follow. WHITE GI ONLY ON SATURDAY FOR THE WORKOUT AND CEREMONY

Reminder we have a special black belt ceremony planned for this Saturday March 7. Start time will be between 11:45 and 12:15. Please come and celebrate Amy Baquera’s years of hard work.

Reminder Butler Sensei is coming to see all of the students and members of Team Sacramento on March 6 (Senior workout) and March 7 (all student workout) with a special black belt ceremony starting between 11:45 and noon for Amy Baquera. We look forward to seeing everyone there. White gi only on Saturday.

Great day at the Palo Alto Judo Tournament Sunday February 22. We sent eight competitors and ended up with eight competitors on the podium. Good work! We also had a lot of support from parents and coaches to cheer on the team. Congrats everyone!

Reminder Butler Sensei will be at Team Sacramento dojo March 6 (Senior only workout), 6 PM to 8 PM and Saturday March 7, 10 AM to 12 PM with a black belt ceremony at the end of class that day. Make sure to come for the workout or to visit and watch the ceremony. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Judo Community:

There are 8 Kokushikan University visitors from Japan who have entered the Palo Alto Judo Tournament ranging from 160-220 pounds. This university is one of the top judo universities in Japan and it would be a great opportunity to compete against some of the top judoka in training.

Please encourage your black belts to register for the Palo Alto Judo Tournament on Feb. 22nd.

Normal registration is $80 until Feb. 10th. After that, the cost goes to $100.

Team Sacramento is happy to announce the return of our founding Sensei David Butler on March 6 (seniors only workout) and March 7. Mr Butler will be accompanied by some of his students in AZ and I hope everyone can be there to catch up with him or meet him. It will be a great event filled with Ohana. All are welcome that wish to visit. Friday will be 6 to 8 PM and Saturday will be 10 AM to 12 PM.

Team Sacramento competed at the Champions Cup on February 1 in San Jose CA. We had a great day and saw some great judo. We had seven competitors compete in eight divisions. Everyone fought hard and we all continue to get better and learn. Great job team.
