Hug a dancer 🫂🥰

Our teens took a moment between classes last night to show some love to each other 💜

Dance is more than just learning the steps. It’s the friendships and community we build along the way 🫶

Tag a dancer you’d hug too! 🫂🥹

Say hi to Marriot! 👋

She’s been with Eastside Dance for about a year now and although she still has moments where she feels awkward, she’s moving with more confidence and having more fun! 🤩

The best part? She found a community that made it easier to keep showing up! A warm and welcoming space where she can learn, laugh, and just enjoy dancing 💃

Adults! This is your sign to come dance with us!
Come as you are, learn as you go, and have fun along the way 🙌

PART 1: THE CULTURE 🔥

Our Hip Hop Summer Intensive was about giving our dancers a deeper understanding of what they were stepping into. We talked about, where hip hop began, why it began, and the culture that continues to shape it today 🧠

We also discussed:

🎶 The music
🎨 The art
👟 The fashion
🗣️ The self-expression
📚 The history

And most importantly, we talked about respect 🙂‍↕️

Hip hop is a culture we’re guests in, and we wanted our dancers to understand what it means to be responsible participants—not just people who learn the movements 🙌

And they really showed up for it! They asked questions, engaged in the conversations, and took it all to heart. ❤️‍🔥

This was only the beginning!
