STOP PUSHING REPETIVE HIGH IMPACT MOTIONS ON KIDS WITH NO BREAKS!! THERE ARE OFF SEASONS FOR A REASON.

Come on out to the County Line Trailhead by The Depot this Saturday for this FREE memorial ruck. This will be an event that can be done by nearly anyone. The path is paved and flat! I will be there around 8 am and we will depart approximately at 9 am. Come spend some time outside with a great community, in a great community!

Youth Coaches, do yourself a favor. Make it a point to praise the behaviors and effort you want out of your athletes. Kids CRAVE recognition, whether it's negative or positive. That doesn’t mean you cannot correct or critique but if that's all you're doing it's not going to work.

As a Coach/Leader you have to be able to communicate in many different "languages". All athletes should be treated the same. Yes, absolutely, when it comes to standards and team culture 100% all athletes should be treated the same. But, not all athletes communicate the same.
Some need to be spoon fed, but maybe not for reason you would think.

Some need a more direct approach.

Some need stern.

Some need relaxed.

Some need just one word.

Some all they need is the objective.

Some all it takes is eye contact and they know what to do.

And on a team, you have to manage all of those!
The goal is the same, the change in the way you deliver expectations and instructions is supposed to change. I could go through just that little list and put at least one athlete's name next to each communication style. To be effective and efficient you HAVE to be able to adapt. Leaders Lead.
