Chronic upper trap and neck tightness often stems from holding static posture at a desk or looking down at screens for hours. When those muscles shorten, they cause tension headaches and restricted range of motion.
For today's Movement Monday, Personal Trainer Joe M shares a simple, discreet neck and shoulder stretch you can do right at your desk to release built-up tension in seconds. ๐
๐ Joeโs Steps:
Reach one arm behind your lower back and gently pull the wrist with your opposite hand.
Tilt your opposite ear toward your shoulder until you feel a comfortable stretch along your neck.
Pro-Tip: Slowly rotate your head to scan for the tightest angle, then hold and breathe through it!
Don't let daily work stress turn into chronic neck pain. Our personal training team at Green Ridge Recreation Center can help you build a personalized mobility and strength program tailored to your everyday lifestyle.
