Dates: August 3-5, 2026
Ages 6-12: 8:30am-12pm at Greenfield Recreation Park
Ages 13-18: 5pm-7pm at Botetourt County YMCA

This summer, Bonsack Rec Center is hosting the Bonsack High School Athletes Sports Retreat! A transformative retreat experience tailored to high school athletes. The retreat trains young men and women to be excellent and faithful both on and off the field. It equips student athletes to become strong leaders in sports, school, church, and beyond. The retreat will push you to ask life’s big questions, deepen your faith, empower you as a leader, and develop your character to equip you for the race of your life.

The Rec Center will operate on normal hours on Thursday, January 29th.

The New Year is a great time to focus on health! Join us on Monday, January 19th at noon in the Bonsack Rec Center for an informative clinic on GLP1 Medication, Hidden Sugars, and Probiotics. The clinic will be hosted by our Nutrition Specialist Kasie, a graduate of the VT Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise Program. Cost is $10, register at the Rec Desk.

Merry Christmas!
The Rec Center will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24th and 25th in observance of Christmas.

The Rec Center will open on a delay on Friday, December 26th at 9am.

The Rec Center will be open normal hours on Saturday, December 27th, 9am-12pm.

Due to the icy conditions of the parking lot, the Rec Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 9th. Since many of you may be stuck indoors, we are including a Yoga workout that was filmed during COVID lockdown to this email. Follow the link below to join us at any point on the 9th! Day 36: Gentle Yoga Tai Chi — Bonsack Baptist Community Life Center Gentle flow of basic Tai Chi postures and Yoga poses. Increase muscle strength, cardio vascular health, improve balance and stability. This class includes standing, sitting and lying techniques. Take time for yourself and relax in shavasanna or corps pose.
