If you’re hunting a public dove lease make sure you have the annual public hunting permit (and hunter ed and license with migratory game endorsement)! Texas Parks and Wildlife reports huge numbers of dove so grab your mojo decoys, coffee, and scatter gun and happy hunting!

This is the future of hunting and wildlife conservation in Texas.

According to Texas Wildlife Association, only 4% of Texans buy a hunting license annually. That means not only is this activity funded by just 4% of the population, but that also means it’s up to them to make sure the other 96% don’t become anti-hunters.

We love hunting and fishing, we love our wildlife, and we love our families getting to enjoy the outdoors together. It’s a joy to teach Hunter education to these adults and kids to make that happen.

According to Texas Parks and Wildlife: "Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Course. Proof of certification or deferral is required to be on your person while hunting, either printed or electronically (including the Texas Outdoor Annual mobile app)."

How often do you practice shooting?

Part of being an ethical hunter is to shoot where you are aiming at, every time, for a quick, clean kill.
