WHAT IF YOUR OPPORTUNITY CAME TOMORROW? 🏀🇹🇼🇺🇸

This past summer, James Huang received an invitation to attend Nike Camp in Los Angeles, California through Coach Jimmy Yi

We knew he was ready to compete on the court.

The bigger question was: how ready would he be to communicate on and off it?

Could he understand coaches speaking at game speed? Communicate with teammates in practices and huddles? Adjust to different accents, terminology and an entirely new basketball environment?

In the months leading up to camp, James trained with Summit English becoming one of the first players to experience what would become Summit Hoop Talk Sessions — a basketball-focused English preparation built around the situations players will actually encounter in the U.S.

The goal wasn’t perfect English. The goal was to make sure language didn’t get in the way of this opportunity.

James’ experience is just the beginning of our mission to help future Taiwanese basketball players become more prepared and confident when their opportunity to play, train or study in the U.S. arrives.

Because talent might get you the invitation. But if your opportunity came tomorrow, how ready would you be for everything that comes with it?

Had the most random week of jury duty serving our city, artist hangs with Randomer + JKS, hoop sesh with the Dabbly Ducks community 🏀 a smashing event RE/FORM 🔜 8.22 JORIS VOORN, LUIS MIRANDA, & MATERIELLE with Joris Voorn, Luis Miranda and Materielle plus Sunday Funday at Dave & Busters with my wife and her rec league softball teammates ✌🏼life is random indeed and this past week is proof that you a lot can happen in just a few days 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks to everyone who pulled up and supported the show on Saturday and looking forward to a week of NO JURY DUTY and for that, I am super grateful for this week already 🤣 see you soon and don’t forget to stretch!

Friday Morning to Monday afternoon post-Seoul trip diary heading straight back to LA for our double header WORK 🔜 8.28 RIKHTER // 8.29 Adam X & Setaoc Mass weekend with Greg Downey, Alan Fitzpatrick and Anastasia Giovani on Friday followed by Randomer, JKS, and S.I.M on Saturday 💨🪩 thank you all for pulling up and making it as special as it was and to the team who continues to make the dream WORK

Took the wifey for our anniversary dinner and now back on the usual grind 💪 the gym does wonders and highly recommend everyone to stay as active as possible as your future self will thank you for it 💡

Unreel clips from an unreal trip 🎥 🇰🇷 🥹

Unlocked a new favorite thing to do which is taking my mom on vacation while bro and neph tag along ✌🏼🤣

This Seoul trip was so good for the soul - mama I love you and glad we were able to finally do this 😤 I felt a bit sentimental landing on August 8th (father’s day in Taiwan) - dad had to pass in order for this trip to even be possible for all of us, it’s as if pops gave us his blessing on Father’s Day (love and miss you ba).

The Wang-Fam annual vacation has been unlocked and already can’t wait for the next one. I am absolutely motivated to make these trips better and better because mom deserves the absolute best 😊 for a 72 year old lady she sure threw down some steps with us averaging 20-25k per day at (I REPEAT) 72-years old 💪🥵 she continues to inspire me everyday to be happy, healthy, and free ✨ I love you mama!

It was also great seeing old friends and meeting new ones - thank you all for making the time to fit into our schedule and for showing me around especially those who pulled up for my set UNDERCITY | 언더시티 🙏🏼 Until next time, take care and be well✌🏼🙏🏼

The last 24-hours post GDL trip straight from LAX into Seoul ✈️ 🇰🇷 meeting up with the fam 😊

Big thanks UNDERCITY | 언더시티 club for having me last night 🙏🏼 what a dope venue and the vibe was perfect 😶‍🌫️ can’t wait to be back soon.

Spending the rest of my week in the city taking mom out and about with my bro and nephew ✌🏼 have a great weekend y’all!

Viva La Guadalajara Mexico 🇲🇽 came down here with Tequila Alderete team (Mark & Ronny) to explore the first steps of a more intentional partnership ahead! Major appreciation for the invite on this trip. Big thanks also to Tequila Trading Partners (TTP) (Jaime) for taking us on extra adventures related to food and more tequila 🇲🇽 🤙🏽

The first step of this partnership involves lots and lots of tequila tasting 😂 as well as visiting distilleries and understanding the entire process from an Agave plant to the final finished product 🥃 the commitment and attention to details of making tequila is absolutely mind blowing 🤯

What made this trip truly special was being out here with Lois Marco Synthetik Alisa Rusakova meeting and connecting with good people and good vibes alongside good food and drinks 🌮🤤

One of the most random fulfilling weeks this summer ✌🏼 gym, ball, work, and raves with some of the best people I know :) big ups to everyone who came out to our event this past weekend! To the team who continues to expand the dream and the artists, Hadone, UFO95, and GiGi for delivering a musical journey that will be talked about for a very long time. Already can’t wait for the recap and recording to come out soon 🙌 🎶 🕺🏻
